Nuka World Transit Center

Well...made level 30, listened to the broadcast and made my way to the Transit Center. I was immediately attacked by a host of Gunners and their robot side-kicks. Is this supposed to happen, do I have to clear them out before getting onto the ride to the park?

normal, you gotta clear them all out then you get to the actual train rail that you can take there

yes there is a named Gunner female there.. if you sneak you can hear the conversation to soldiers..

If you have difficulty with the gunners, it might be best to wait.

You also have to run the gauntlet before you can explore Nuka World. Then you can explore and go were every you want.

I totally accidently came across Nuka World. I built a High structure and saw weird looking towers at distance, turns out they ware bottle :)
But yes I got mega attacked.... It gets worse before it get better.

The game is 7 years old. It's getting long in the tooth for spoilers.

The Gunners at the entrance are supposed to be a "beef gate" to stop lower-leveled characters from venturing there. There's a Gunner Commander named Kaylor that'll always be at least level 38, even if you're level 1.

You can actually pass both them and later on the gauntlet at level 1, but it will be really hard if you're not used to the game. The gauntlet portion specially, because it has an unavoidable battle against people who are shooting at you from the top of a cage.

ehh.. you can just run past the few people that welcome you after you made it through the gauntlet.

only colter is the last "line of defense".

It can be done at levels below 10. Of course it will depend on the difficulty you are playing. Your experience with the Gauntlet and willingness to reload a save a lot.

Finally made through the gauntlet, the boss fight (colter?) and into nuka world. Toughest run so far in the game....especially colter. I haven't done Far Harbor yet so maybe there is something there as bad? In all honesty, I had to lower the difficulty from normal to easy to make it and even then it was touch and go.
