The power armour has lower performance, but it's much more robust in terms of maintenance, remaining functional even after being abandoned for a couple of hundred years, and relatively easy to repair.
In any sort of immediate clash or with a stable society providing technical support the landmate will do better, while if you're living in a post-apocalyptic wasteland it will soon end up non-functional. Meanwhile, the power armour will still be doing as well as ever, being patched up by wasteland mechanics to keep going year after year.
sounds interresting and i could see the landmates need more maintenance as it seems to me more advanced in the mobility section compared to the power armour
so if there's people who is more armed and armoured they would send in people who wears the power armour as in military who is more likely would use the power armour in case their weaponry can easily take on the landmates? i would believe so and the military would also likely use more heavy weaponry to disperce the group by force
so with the society possibly collapsing with the unrest would you give the landmates a few years of no maintenance before they cease function? i might give it 5 years if that while i can see the power armour is more easy to repair with the scrap at hand which could be made to fit alright on the power armour by 3 people who knows their stuff
with the landmates i can see it would need a crew of 5 people who is educated on landmates mechanical wonder like yoshi (if that's how his name is written which i hope)
as he seem to understand how it works and what todo to fix it properly
Prove me wrong.
Appleseed started as a manga just like its more famous younger sibling GITS it had no animation. plus Landmates have normal bipedal legs unlike say GITS's Fucikoma's they are meant to walk just like a normal person.
Landmates exist because Japan like all sane people of the world find robot suits badass.
That'll suck if anyone has a GITS game on Steam.
edit well fluster cluck not being covered proves the point pretty well
you could but robots are cool
i know if it is with construction landmates needs to be built alike with attachable tools which is powered by the landmate or powered by something else
yep robots are cool and maybe you would just use a drone to wield stuff but using a landmate to wield you could also get a closeup view of how well the wield is
