Best way to destroy all 3 factions?
I'm assuming the best way would be side with the Institute, kill off the BoS and RR, then go through the MM quest line until you can destroy the Institute?

Anybody ever done this?

I'll still have to follow through with the MM's variation of the Nuclear Option quest, which I'm not sure will be there. Will completing Nuclear Family, effectively completing the game sided with the Institute, cut off the option to continue the MM quest-line and their version of the Nuclear Option?
Hmm, true, I did kill most of the people inside on my way out, but they just kind of hated me rather than being turned into a giant crater. The Minutemen talked about it as if they needed to fight the Institute, but the main questline was already over, so nothing there. I could possibly have alienated the Institute before doing End of the Line and just attacked the Railroad on my own afterwards.

For the crater, I think full Brotherhood is the way to go, destroyed by the Minutemen after their story is over, and then dismantle the Minutemen (stevenirey's suggestion of using the Nuka World gangs is good, storywise).

This is why I halted my Chinese spy RP, until I can figure this out, without having to backtrack a save hours before. Balancing 9 RPs+ and I don't want a bunch of save bloat. I already accidentally deleted the spy RP before and had to do 48+ hours of remaking. Though it was a blessing in disguise, since Warwick Homestead actually makes for a better Laogai Re-Education camp than Starlight Drive In.

I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate commies, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if it doesn't make for a great RP in Fallout 4, especially with the many variation mods to the Handmade rifle. You can turn that thing into most any AKS variant and even an SVD, plus the Hunting rifle can be made into an SV-98. And with the Shi paint from CC, you can have a full on PLA themed play through.

Funnily enough, the guy I did the glitchy Brotherhood/Institute friendliness with was using Shi paint himself. A guy named Siang, because I aimed all along to have him running around with Danse. :steammocking:

Ironically enough I'm doing my BoS RP right now until I figure out the spy situation. Sadly, Danse and Virgil are going to die in this play through. It's not a big millstone, considering Danse actually wants to die. I commend him for wanting to go down with the ship.

About to imprison Clarke for "stealing supplies" as I type.
Honestly depends how you wanna go about things:

-MM route = just shell the BoS with artillery then wave based tower defense and just infiiltrate the institute.
-RR = infiltrate both BoS airship and institute. Covert type you gotta take out the small police station then go to the airship.
-institute = destroy BoS through seige and then the RR. One of the toughest imo
-BoS=kill RR and blow up institute via having a giant robot like in FO3

then you can betray them exception MM cept raider playthrough using nuka world dlc and some mods to kill em off.

Honestly i'd go MM since it ties up loose ends.

Doesn't really answer my query, but I thank you just the same.

you are the General, the Minutemen are what you want them to be.

maybe there is a Mod that puts them in Chinese Unifiroms?
though... they are already a PLA of sorte.. they just don't know it.

The Minutemen are anarchist. You're a general of a herd of cats that all go their own way. You're just the figure head of the Minute men Lynch mob.

there are enough mods that make them into a decent force... so.. yes.. vanilla minutemen are a bunch of... underequipped settlers.

modified thay can be what ever you want them to be... in my case they are on par with BOS.. including power armor, armed patrols and vertibirds.

The Minutemen aren't anarchists. LOL, pretty much the opposite actually.

you cant do that because you have to ally with one faction period, that's the level of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ writing on this game, you either ally with RR to destroy the institute and the brotherhood and so on, the minuteman is an optional faction, you can completely ignore preston first encounter, but you CANT ignore the RR BOS and the institude, because you NEED one of those factions to make the molecular arail to go to the institute.

also all the leaders of each faction are considered "Esential" until the point where you get the quest to destroy said faction, so you cant kill them before that.

there is no way to destroy all three factions, this is not new vegas okay? bethesda was too lazy to write a scenario where all the factions die.

so there is your answer.

Nah, I already figured out how to do it. Complete the BoS ending, make enemies with them, then continue the MM quest line and complete the With Our Powers Combined quest. All three kill-able factions are dead. Took some research, but this seems to be the optimal way to do it.

Used Institute to wipe out The Railroad and The BoS, then went to Far Harbor, Wiped out CoA then turned Arcadia Synths in to The Institute. Went back to Commonwealth and worked with Minutemen until , together, we take out the Institute. Then went to Nuka-World, sided with Raiders, go back to Commonwealth and build the raiders while fighting the minutemen. Own the Commonwealth. LOL

That's an optimal role-play and I can't fault any of that.

But I'm making an RP for every faction and every DLC and quite a few that don't adhere to any of the narrative prerogatives or sensibilities.

Some find flaws in Beth writing, which I do find many indiscretions, but I'm in Seventh Heaven, role-playing some of these characters; whether they are in the foreground or are central figures.
