Installing FOSE to the GOG version of Fallout 3

I know this a Fallout 4 Forum, But I trying to find out how to install FOSE (Fallout 3 Script Extender) to the GOG version of Fallout 3 (GOTY version) . All the tutorial's I've found is how to install FOSE to the Steam version of the game . If anyone knows this or even where GOG games
typically install the game files I'd be grateful . Also the above for the same version FNV as I'll probably install it later on .

If you know where your GOG games are installed then you just drop the FOSE in the same place as .exe of Fallout 3 NOT in Data folder

Not to be a complete ♥♥♥♥ but a few things:

Script Extender has been out for years for F3, and there's been literally hundreds of tutorials and such written on how to this no matter where you purchase it from for PC

GOG has a forum for Fallout 3 you can ask

This Fallout 4's forum, and there is a Fallout 3 forum on steam you can ask for better results


Again not to sound like a ♥♥♥♥, but c'mon.

I had this posted for three days om both the GOG and Steam fallout 3 forums for three days without an answer ,

Thanks for that . if this was the Steam version, I knew how install FOSE . the GOG flies are configured differently which thru me out .

I had over 500 hours with the steam versions of Fallout 3 and New Vegas with both crashing so much I had given up on both of them . I've been playing the GOG of Fallout 3 for around 40 hours
while modding it on a Windows 10 laptop without crashing

This instruction came with the downloaded files in fose_readme.txt. Have you done everything that is written below?
[ Installation ]

1. Copy the .dll files and fose_loader.exe to your Fallout 3 directory. This is usually in your Program Files folder, and should contain files called Fallout3.exe, FalloutLauncher.exe and the G.E.C.K. (if installed).

2. Launch Fallout by running fose_loader.exe from the Fallout3 directory.

If you use a desktop shortcut to launch Fallout 3 normally, just update the shortcut to point to fose_loader.exe instead of Fallout3.exe or FalloutLauncher.exe.

There are Compatibility requirements, troubleshooting tips on normal problems, I suggest you open the Readme file and read through it. its very usefull, no matter witch script extender/you are using. And if you are unable to find the Readme file, then you need 7zip or winrar to be able to continue.
