AWKCR has become an Abomination

Can we sit down for a bit and talk about AWKCR, in the past it was a beautiful Armor/Clothing mod. Now it's become an abomination of scripts, changes, and other ♥♥♥♥ that no one asked for.
Now if anyone has a version that just has the required files needed for other clothing mods that'd be sweet, but from what I've looked at, no such mod exists. There are some mods that remove some of the annoying aspects, but other then that.

So, if anyone has a mod (or has actually edited it themselves), send me a link or file. And what are your thoughts on the current state of AWKCR, want to see what people think of its current state compared to how it was in the past.

i think they wanted it to be a mod resource for other mods but wanted it to be useful to end users as well.

AWKCR only contains the esm file and meshes, materials, and textures. I have no idea what you are talking about

Tbh i noticed it once i got it and the legendary adding mod. It broke my game along with the:
-scrap all mod to scrap EVERYTHING
-M1 GARAND mod
-service rifle mod

they basically break the game when used in tandem

The problem I have with it is the fact that it requires every DLC and doesn't have a no-DLC file

Think there was another mod author that was helping to strip it from a lot of popular mods.
I remember grabbing them and their fixes so I wouldn't have to rely on it.

It looks cool but I refuse to use it. Seems it does more harm than good.

Same for Scrap Everything (which I knew about it sooner. Now I'm stuck with it).

It's not AWKCR that has any issues, it's the Legendary Modification mod that does. It was last updated in 2015. But if you track down all the patches for Legendary Modification you can get it to work right

Stopped using it a long time ago, it's such a bloated mess. Glad to see most of recent mods moved away from using that horror

While true, the recent version have patches. And the amount of excess crap they've added since the initial release has caused it to be a massive bloated mess (as Chaosium said). It went from being a basis for Armor/Clothing, to adding an ungodly amount of unnecessary features that no one asked for.

Ya, I found something like that, removed a lot of the excess crap that wasn't needed for the Armor Mods and Such.

Use ECO as a alternative. I too has move on from AWKCR.

Scrap everything can mess with your game alot.

Especially the triangle of crashes where you start off

I highly recommend using Scrap Scrap instead of Scrap Everything. It's basically Scrap Everything Lite, you don't scrap buildings, foundations and all that.
