Fallout 4
Favorite drop legendary weapons and what did you name them?
I play Fallout 4 and I seen a good deal of legendary weapons drops my favorite had to be a Nocturnal Shishkabob that I lost when I went back to a previous save so I had to have it back and once I did get it back I named it Nightlight.

Naming is a problem when inventory becomes large though, I named all weapons that I will use as "A" <legendary power> <caliber/type> format so I have like my dirty dozen at the top. It is a lot worse with armor, because many of the Shielded/Weaved pieces get auto named "Armored" <whatever>. This in turn makes getting to the unmodded armor while editing a pain in the democrat.
I guess that's fair partner but I still like naming my cooler legendary weapons

Ok, try Explosive Bladed Rocket Hammer. Tell me how quick you died. :steamfacepalm:
Something tells me this happened to you?

No just want to see it happen, but I did get 25% damage shooting ghouls up close with an explosive auto MP.
There is also a Bethesda mod that will replace Paint Job of guns with Legendary, so you can swap out legendaries and put them on the gun you want. Or build new legendaries from objects & components.

I usually have weapons I'm using hotkeyed for easy swapping myself, so I can name them whatever I like.

I tend to name armour pieces so that they're together as a set, so that I can easily put them all back on if I've been wearing a hazmat suit or something.

Not a rocket hammer (or the Explosive legendary effect) , but I did play around with my glitch weapon Blastorm when seeing how much protection I got from anti-explosive defenses. I don't remember if I actually died, though; it's at least easier to control than something firing MIRV fat man rounds.

Blastorm?
Not a bad name for a explosive weapon

Any semi auto weapon with the legendary Never Ending.

No need to reload which is handy in a bullet sponge game. Or;

Any semi auto weapon with the legendary Explosive Effect.

Then use the console to make that weapon Never Ending.

That's fun:steamhappy:
The console won't usually be enough to put two legendary effects on a single weapon, since there's only one legendary "slot" which gets filled by whichever effect is applied last.

The game treats a legendary effect much like any physical mod part and only allows one to be attached unless you've modded the game.

Sorry. That's wrong!

I suggest you try it?

You only use the console to place the legendary effect on a weapon that already has one legendary effect.

It works.

I've only ever used it with the pistol and the assault rifle. I recommend you only use the pistol. It's just a massacre with the assault rifle:steamhappy:

I've tried it multiple times as I often use the console to test a potential design before doing it properly. And I have a game that has never been modded. What mods are you using?

Unless Bethesda suddenly decided to change the game recently, there's no mistaking how it works. I'll check that, of course.

EDIT: Yep, checks out exactly as before. I grabbed an Explosive combat rifle from my existing stock of legendary weapons, dropped it, used a getplayergrabbedref command to get the reference ID, and then an amod command on that to add Never Ending (001CC2AC). It became Never Ending, but was no longer Explosive.

Well I guess two legendary mods on one weapon wouldn't make sense it's like having the suppressor and non suppressor on at the same time it's not possible?

Not in an unmodded game, though I've heard of some mods allowing it. It's not like having multiple effects is something impossible in programming terms, but the base game isn't built to do it.

Fallout 76 has legendaries with three effects (there were plans for four too, but I don't know if that's been added). It works fine, but certain effects do rule out others (each slot has a list of allowed effects. Slot 1 has the main ones, so you can only have one of those at a time).

The ECO mod for FO4 allows you to add several legendary effect slots to a weapon. I /think/ it limits which effects can be added at the same time, but I'm a bit unclear how exactly it works.
You can have Two-Shot and Irradiated (+50 rad damage) at the same time, for example. Not sure if you can have rad damage along with poison or bleeding. Or Explosive and Two-Shot at the same time (that would probably be so overpowered it'd make every fight very dull).

No offense to anyone who enjoys Fallout 76 but I'm never going to play that game because I enjoy playing Fallout by myself not with other players that can ruin the experience for me. But if you're having fun then by all means go ahead.

I do not think that is a "Bethesda Mod". But there is a mod on Nexus that allow for Legendary Creation / Swapping / Removal.
You know I don't really trust never ending legendary Gatling laser(I don't know how to pronounce or spell its name)from the Nuka World DLC because I've seen it sort of eat though fusion cores on other YouTubers play through and I didn't want to eat it all my 70 fusion cores so I gave it to Preston Garvey along with four to three fusion cores so he can use it.
