Strong is the worst super mutant companion
I play Fallout 3, Fallout 3 New Vegas, and Fallout 4 (Fallout 4 being the winner of the one I like the most) but in the previous two incarnations of Fallout the super mutant companions were awesome one being a gentle honorable Giant, and the other one being a nightkin grandma who's absolutely lovely, and then we get f****** Strong an elitist a****** who hates almost everything you do unless you're a violent sociopath. I just can't stand having him around me to a point where for all my time playing Fallout 4 on Steam I have never really traveled with him why couldn't we have that dog merchant super mutant from Far Harbor as a companion instead? He's a decent bloke and he would serve very well when you needed to add canines to your settlements whenever you wanted instead of having to go see him hell you could even make Dogmeat will travel with us when he's in your company and he could teach dogmeat a few tricks or things. Hell I would take super mutant Virgil over Strong any day.

I'm not going to argue with you because he is a decent fellow and I would love to have him in a firefight

well, the point of Strong being like that is that he is an normal super mutant.
the only difference is that Strong is willing to work with humans to get what he wants.

i mean i bet Fawkes can be just as violent as any other super mutant but since he is smarter than the average super mutant, and retained at least some of his empathy during the mutation process, he knows when violence is and isnt right.

Strong is just a regular super mutant.

i think the mutants while being a threat, arent actually smart enough to be considered evil.

plus it gives players who want to be evil and violent, a companion that can be violent and psychotic to match.

Which is why I hate him even more because I don't particularly like playing the villain role I prefer playing the hero of the Wasteland which is probably why I don't like X-9, Porter, and Strong

Dude is immune to radiation and won't go to the chamber after you saved his life.

That does change with the Broken Steel add-on, since the original limitation wrapped up the storyline with the main character's obligatory sacrifice. With Broken Steel extending things, your ghoul/robot/super mutant companions can go in your place.

In terms of super mutant companions, playing New Vegas means you would also have met Marcus, who was previously a companion back in Fallout 2.

That's not really his fault it's more of the fault of Bethesda for being dumbasses and wanting a miserable ending to the game unless you buy the DLCs.

Please don't say Marcus's name that's super mutants voice makes me feel things things I shouldn't feel when interacting with super mutant...

I love Dogmeat (hate the name) I hate Lynda from Skyrim as a follower. Don't no anything about super mutants.

The fast way to max strong:

1: Park your Power Armour. You dont really need it anyways.
2: Dont Pick locks. You dont really need to anyways. Use Terminals to bypass if able.

3: Kill a ton of stuff. So get geared for long exploration missions.
4: Build in your Bases. Strong likes to see human Accomplish.
5: And: Help Settlements. He really likes that.

With theese 5 rules i manage to max Strong very very fast.

If you want a nice companion that tells you that you are a super kind super hero, Strong is not for You.

Strong is only matched by Danse in Combat. Give him Heavy Weapons and/or a Super Sledge and you can relax and watch t.v. when he's in combat.

And he can carry more than the others. Nice addition.

Another soft spoken kind super Mutant would be bland, so i like him just as he is.

The worst super mutant companion is MAUL from Fallout 76. He just sits in your camp all day taking up space. Sure he sells meat but food is everywhere in Fallout 76.
felmari May 10, 2022 @ 12:48pm
he's your more normal super mutant so to speak. reasoning wise.

I don't know much about Skyrim I've only played Oblivion once and beat the game extremely quickly and got really bored with the repetition in it

Thanks for the affinity tips, I don't really need companions to carry a month for me because I have the strong back all the way up, I don't need a meek super mutant I just want a super mutant who isn't a f****** a****** elitist.

I don't know anything about Fallout 76 I'm not a fan of multiplayer games but is he really a companion if he just acts like a merchant?
