Yeah don't get me wrong, there was a time when those tiny SoundBlaster speakers were a step up from my ratty $5 headphones. Those were the good old days.
One thing I will say about headphones vs speakers is that headphones, at least good quality headphones, is they have quite a profound impact on player ability in a lot of games, particularly shooters.
I remember playing co-op with a friend who was actually really good at FPS titles, but despite his shooting skill and reaction times, he was actually quite bad at the game because he had very poor awareness. I couldn't work out why he never saved me from a zombie that was walking right past him, it turned out he was using those crappy in-built monitor speakers and so had basically zero spacial awareness. I thought for a moment he was partially blind lol.
Funny video. And no, I do not think his voice sounds squeaky at all. In that video, his voice sounds like it should be if he is being sarcastic.
And no, I do not think his voice sounds whiny when speaking about his son being kidnapped.
But thanks for the laughs. Not seen that video before.
Anyway that's my take on it I know it's a subjective thing and we all hear it differently but this looks like it's gonna be a long game, too long for that voice to be grating on my ears.
But it looks like there might be a fix or two in the replies so I'll check them out.
Thanks for all the replies.
you could try that
I do not talk to Kellogg. I kill the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ right away. So I guess I need to watch a video of him sounding like a wimp when doing so. it would be the only time he sounded like a wimp in my play runs if he does.
But he makes it clear to Valentine and Piper later, he would kill Kellogg again without hesitation. He sure does not sound like a wimp then.
I just watched a YouTube video of Nate picking all the response options when confronting Kellogg. He does not sound like a wimp in any of them to me. There is one option, he has a very frustrated, lost hope reaction. But the rest, he is firm in his attitude with Kellogg.
I think this is a matter of personal perspective.
