Fallout 4 Crashes Before Reaching the Main Menu *FIXED*
I apologize for the lack of detail, I will add more later. Whenever I start Fallout and it is going through the introduction clip it all of a sudden closes. This was right after I was in the creation club trying to install creations that had somehow gotten uninstalled and the screen went black and I couldn't even get other windows to display so I manually closed everything by signing out and signing in. Like I said, now it closes on startup.

Details I have on hand:
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
EVGA GTX 1060 6GB (NVIDIA Driver 512 (just installed, I believe it is the 03/22 release), I was on some 4xx release from like November)
G.Skill TridentZ RAM
ASUS ROG STRIX X470-F (Not sure what BIOS or Firmware version)
I am running EVGA Precision, Logitech G HUB, Armoury Crate, Malwarebytes, possibly more (I have had troubles in the past and tried to work through each one to see if it was causing the crash)

Yeah the creation club content is infamous for causing crashes on load for a reason or another, that happened to me too.

In your Data folder, try deleting everything that starts with "cc", (e.g. ccBGSFO4001-PipBoy(Black) - Main) may it be BA2 archives or ESP/ESL plugins, that's the creation club content files. If that doesn't fix it, you can always restore the files later, but yeah since you've mentioned the CC, that's the #1 suspect right away

Yeah remove what you can, of that CC stuff if that's the only change that happened between the last time you ran successfully and when it started crashing.

The content will be there when you want to try it again.

Hello all, sorry to bother you, game keeps crashing for me at start up. If i just let it run, it makes it to the Bethesda logo, then crashes. If i hit a button to skip intro, i make it to some place with a giant sattlelight oin the background, i think the login screen, then it crashes. I just got the game Friday, havnt been on it once. My Rig is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060. Driver Version 512.15. Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz. 15.82 GB RAM. 1920 x 1080, 144Hz. Its a MSI gaming laptop. Ive been going through walkthroughs on youtube, and discussion boards, but to no avail. Can anybody help me please lol.

Hey, I am really sorry to hear about this, I have heard of a lot of issues with Gaming Laptops specifically. I am about to make some dinner but when I get back I can take a look and see what I can find. In the meantime, I would check to ensure there isn't any interfering Lighting Software, System Control Software (MSI Afterburner), or antivirus that is stopping anything. I also would contact Bethesda Support if you wish.

disable the WEAPONS DEBRIS effect under advanced display options.

if that doesn't work create a new thread and i'll try and help you there

How do i get to the advanced dsiplay options? and how do i make a new thread? Im super noob on PC lol. Dont know ♥♥♥♥

it's ok :D

the display options should be in your launcher settings. when that little pop-up appears before you launch the game with it. dig in the settings there in the menu and find the WEAPONS DEBRIS one and disable it. i'm guessing that's the problem.
