Strong back perk
Let me see if I understand this right. The first two points give you +25 carry weight each. Then level 3 lets you use action points. But levels 3 and 4 do NOT give you more carry weight. This the way it is supposed to work? For some reason, I thought you always got additional carry weight with every level.

3+ adds in effects but not extra weight

Being able to fast travel while overloaded is basically infinite carry weight...

This!! I don't use any mods or commands (personal choice) and this little perk is very useful once you hit 45+.

On the other hand, I never fast travel (personal choice), which makes that perk useless to me. ;)

Except that isn't entirely true. Full set allows character to use Stamina to walk around with extra weight. It refreshes while stopping. That is very useful for those, who do not fast travel or mod their games.

I never end up taking it though, because I am using Salvage Beacons instead. Still, that does make Strong Back worth taking otherwise.

Except .... Survival Mode .... No fast traveling. So the level 4 is not too useful. That point can be better spent. The level 3, using action points, is still useful on survival. I am glad my curiosity made me test it.

On survival max it out, you will no longer take damage when over-encumbered (replaces ability to fast travel level 4). Level 5 reduces your AP cost by half, couple this with the Action Boy/Girl perk maxed and one or two legendary pieces of armor that increase the AP refresh speed and you only end up walking about 1/2 dozen steps before running (a long run at that) again.
