fallout 4 not working with windows 10?

ive tried turning off antivirus, changing compatibility to windows 8, and trying it in windowed mode nothing seems to be working please help

Last i played it was. Try having steam check integrity for the game. Make sure video drivers are up to date. Try a reinstall for last. If problems still occuring then you will need to take bigger steps, which someone or the support will help you with.

Make sure to play without mods to see if it works (fresh install).

It's not an issue with Win10 directly.
Running latest build of Win10 here, and Fallout 4 runs without issue.

Have you done any updates to your Windows lately? Also, system specifications could be helpful, hardware and driver versions.

make sure your system meets the requirments then be sure windows did not replace your graphics drivers with microsoft versions in place of the manufacturer's drivers.

I use windows 10 and fallout 4 runs just fine as long as a windows update does not replace the manufacturers drivers with an incompatable microsoft version instead.

OP, please post your full system specs as seen by Steam. Go to Help at the top of your Steam window, then system Information. Copy to Clipboard and paste it here.

Also, just turning off your antivirus does not always work. Add Fallout 4 to the exceptions in both your antivirus and in Windows Defender.

Make sure you're running the game as the Administrator of your pc.

Did you install any mods or Creation Club items?

Yea no way that laptop can play this game at all. Not enough RAM, not a good enough GPU or CPU either.

@op As above, it has nothing to do with Windows 10. Your computer is not even close to being capable of running the game. (got ninja'd by Magicbush, while I was typing, I kind of went on a rant about requirements, and edit out most of my original post :p)

No part of your computer is good enough. You need a gaming laptop not a notebook. Even the model of your laptop states its clearly not meant for gaming

You need a cpu at least twice as fast. Your graphic card needs to be about 6 times faster, you need double the ram........that is just to hit minimum requirements, even then depending on what you can put up with you still may not find it that playable. (different people have different opinions on what is playable)

You need a much faster computer.

There is a reason they list requirements for games.

Sorry as above, you either need a much faster computer or a refund.
