but I utilized INI editing to do it (configuration file changes, setting the Resolution in there, H=1080, W=2560, etc). It works great, though!
If it doesn't come up in your pull-down options in the Launcher, you have to edit the Fallout4Prefs.ini in the
Documents>My Games>Fallout4
folder and set the values of
iSize H=1080
iSize W=2560
and then it will work. I run it in Fullscreen mode (taking up the entire screen) by using bMaximizeWindow=0
bBorderless=0
bFull Screen=1
in there as well (this is all under the DISPLAY category).
You can also try just running the game in 'Borderless Windowed Mode' aka 'Fullscreen Windowed Mode' and then set your Desktop to 2560x1080 before you start the game. Fallout 4 will then just 'use whatever the Desktop resolution is'. I've done this too and it works well.
The only problem is, the HUD/UI will be off a bit - it will be stretched (as though it wasn't made for that Aspect Ratio) - but the 3D portions (the world, models, NPCs, etc) will be fine. Here is an example Screenshot I took showing the HUD/UI in 21:9 AR:

Overall it does look nice though, and if you can get decent framerates with the extra field of view, I highly suggest trying it (esp. if you have a 21:9 monitor)...it's a little choppier for me, so I don't use it all the time, but it was fun to test it out.

I also tested it at 1440p/21:9AR :

This is one I recommend:

I tried out the greener one and it was pretty, but a complete pain in the grass trying to find corpses and having grass through the floorboards in settlements.
Just keep in mind choppier is a good thing, the game uses frames to process scripting, so lower FPS gives your pc more time to process the scripting. High frame rates give less time and break the game eventually.

lol I'm sorry to hear your experience with finding corpses - yes especially if they have green armour/etc (I wonder if that's partly why I don't use it? hmph).
Thanks for the Tip on the Framerate... For me, the higher Resolution was doing the same thing as the HR Texture Pack, which was, making the game stutter when I turned; so I stopped using them both (at least for now)
I mean I want one that jsut turns the existing grass greener, not add more and such.
Yeah it works for you but as he put in the message that he made it doesn’t work for him
