Yes. My method, put what you dont want stolen in a chest and lock it with the console command.

Workbench yes. Anything in the "Workshop" inventory. But not in seperate non-workshop containers.

In simpler words, when you go to the big red workshop, anything you see in that inventory when opened, can be stolen during a raid, even an off-screen raid.

Yes, they will also take items from containers as well as the workshop.

Actually they will. Although the weapon + ammo and power armor + core need to be within that same vicinity.

I thought I would be smart and store my cores in a floor safe below my power armor frame in the repair rack and by doing that it would prevent theft. Trashcan Carla taught me the error of my ways.

Just like I usually store weapons in one container and ammo in a seperate container. My settler had no problems finding both the fatman and ammo right before he blew me up.

Is there a difference between original containers, and containers that you build?
Because I have never had anything stolen from a container that I built.

I only store items in self made containers and if I don't give the sttlers good equipemt I find they have scooped up the legendaries I didn't have a use for and are using them.

Settlers won't take things out of the Workshop inventory, but they will take things out of other containers.

And Raiders work the other way for the purposes of non-live attacks (one that happen off screen)

For Any instance where you are actually in a settlement, every actor (NPC) will attempt to secure and use any notably superior weapon within their AI range. This includes Raiders and settlers.

Well that's good to know. Come to think of it, most of my stuff is at the Red Rocket, and the only
"settlers" there are companion NPCs cooling their heels.

I haven't really had a problem with settlers taking my stuff from containers, they will grab stuff from your workshop for sure though.
I tend to store all my extra weapons/armor in Home Plate though...

Blocking off an area with the powered concrete door seems to keep settlers out.
(I've had settlers phase through the wood powered door...)
I had to use these to keep them out of my raider drug dens.
(98 pick-me-up stations in a 5x5 area is too tight to get by settlers if they get in.)
游戏挺好玩的。就是挂太多了,怎么也封不禁啊! 还是有钱人多啊!

Because I have never had anything stolen from a container that I built.

For theft to occur you need the following, in order.
1. The NPCs have to be in combat.
2. It needs to within x distance of a NPC.
3. It has to be an upgrade.
4. The NPC need to own or be able to loot ammo for the weapon.

With the exception of power armor, NPCs will not steal clothing or armor.

Damn so I guess u cant make it 100% stafe ?
All tho what if there are 0 settlers and the rest of resources ?
Also if they need to have ammo to pick up my weapons (I carry all of my ammo) could they take ammo from corpses then take my weapons from chests ?

0 population settlemnts are never attacked.
The Castle and Mechanist Lair do not generate settlement attacks.

Both the ammo and the weapon need to be in reach.

Hmm I see tnx for info.
However I researched a bit and found out that both 0 population and The Castle settlement still get attacked (or so do some claim) ?

Is there any kind of trick that would make em unable to pick up stuff ?
Also is diamond city house 100% safe ?

Tnx again !

i would say dimond city is 100% safest its never attacked well not at least in my playtime

to reduce theft you can reduce attack on your base

to do this

is to have a minimum of 25 def and max of 150 which reduces it to 2% ea week

only have the minium amount of food and water that you need to feed/sell

have only set amount of settlements that are easy get too
otherwise an attack settlement is rolled by program and settlers dont really factor into this
lock safe on the groud also prevents settlers eating and using vaulable stuff
