Leveled Power Armor.

So there is a Leveled Power Armor in the lake near the rotten landfill.

I'm only level 10 and already have the early in-game t-45 armor. Is it better I leave it there and take it once I'm higher level ?

What rotten landfill?
I'm not sure which area you are talking about.
The only power armor that matters is x-01 (you can get infinite T-60 once BoS show up), so unless the suit spawns in a level 28+ area it doesn't really matter.
Don't go near suits that can spawn as X-01 until you are level 28+.

Note: the level range on the suits is not always the same as the surrounding area.
level 1-13 = T-45
level 14-20 = T-51
level 21-27 = T-60
level 28+ = X-01 (up to X-01 Mk III at level 36+)


EDIT: found the power armor you were talking about (underwater near Rotten Landfill), partial suit, only goe up to T-51.

(also, Atom Cats ha a 5% of selling 1 piece of X-01 each shop reset)

So basically if this specific suit do not go up to the T-51 I'm better wait for it to be T-51 (So increase my character level) then just pick it up I guess ?

Because I'm not sure if I should pick it up right away, since I already have the early T-45 that I repaired (guess it was a full one ??, not even sure how this work)

There is a fullset of T45 on top of the overpass at Greygarden, to access it follow the overpass towards college square by using the track from greygarden, cross the road ahead, watch out for mines and go under the overpass and keep bearing to your left at a 15 degree angle you will find a yellow lift, just go up the lift get off facing the road and turn to your left and follow the road till you find it. This can be had at level 1-6 depending on how game you are to get there.

I listed that suit in post #2, it is at POIMilitaryMC05, it will be T-51 if you don't load the cell until level 14+..

Also there are a bunch of full suits of T-60 at Atom Cats Garage and after BOS show up at Boston Airport (Prydwen). These will be T-60 no matter what level you are.
You can buy T-60 from BOS and T-60/T-51/T-45 from Atom Cats (5% of 1 X-01 piece as well).
You can get hundreds of suits of T-60 (mainly by farming power armor BOS).
So anything less than X-01 isn't that interesting past low level.


Partial suits spawn a torso and have a 50% chance of each other part (max 3 other parts).
Some suits have fusion cores, some don't - this is pre-set, not random.
(There are 20 partial suit in base Fallout 4, I only listed the 10 that can be X-01 in post #2)

Ok, nice to know, I rarely use the Armour, just mainly in the glowing sea or in some parts of Nuka world, other than that, its really not that essential.
