BOS Call to Arms quest - save the caravan?
Along the way to ArcJet, there are three raiders and a trader caravan. Can the trader and guard(s) be saved or are they scripted to die?

I have tried several times to save them, but no luck. I am on survival mode now. Maybe a high vats build with a strong sniper rifle could do it. Along with a lot of drugs. I don't use vats and have no points into any vats enhancement stuff. Without vats I cannot kill more than one raider before the others kill the caravan.

I actually managed to do it one playthrough, but they refused to trade or re-appear later. It's not worth the effort tbh.

So it is possible. Thanks. I do not care that there is no reward. It's the challange. :)

I have always ended up with a murder on my record after that fight. Kinda bugs me as I try to play without any murders.

Well technically you could use the Settlers Calling mod with your game experience.

There is so many instances where you save someone that the option to give them a home jsut aint there.

1. Raiders vs Settlers - Unless you AND the settlers particpate in combat the script bugs out and you dont get the option to give them a home.

2. The funeral encounter.

3. The water/radaway encounter.

4. Super Mutant with captive settler.

5. Farting Settler.

When you save someone just next time back to your settlement pop the invite button.

I will look at that mod. But I was not looking to recruit them, just save them from being killed. But that mod sounds like something I do want.

I use it to speed up my settlements since I mostly build settlements. Like for instance I started like a 6th new game in the last two weeks while trying mods out. I really didnt want to go through all the wait time to rebuild the last game I scrapped. Bad enough I lost about 40 hours play time then another 20 rebuilding the settlement, lol.

I looked at the mod. There is no instructions but a video. The video shows just spawning random settlers in the settlement. I see no way to get the actual npc you just saved to be a settler. Do you mean that you have to pretend the spawned settler is the one you saved?

Yeah, it spawns a settler at random. Plus if you say dont knike the lisping female ghouls you get the other mod that removes settlers and ring up a new one.
