Also yes, the World Series bat can be fully upgraded with rockets and the like. It's not as good as the Shiny Slugger or Rockville Slugger, though.

How this works is that, you get two perks when you pick up the World Series Baseball bat.
Both are hidden, one only applies to the bat itself, the other is permanently attached to your character. The more interesting one that attaches to your character can activate the World Series Baseball Bat special effect (The Home Run effect) with ANY melee weapon, at a very low percentage based on your luck.
The World Series baseball bat has the same effect, that can trigger indepenedently.
When both these perks activate on the same swing, you get the instant-Kill launch.
