MO2 + BodySlide ?
How do I get BodySlide to see my mods when using MO2? I've tried running it from inside MO2 and stand alone.

See your mods? What body mod are you using? CBBE?
Emily Mewens 2021 年 11 月 17 日 下午 8:28
If youre using BodySlide, and trying to make bodyslide run and able to see your clothes mods in MO2, first make sure that you have bodyslide installed through, and enabled in MO2. (as silly as that sounds)
Youll also want to make sure that youre using a bodyslide body (like cbbe, atomic girl, etc)

I made this very mistake when i first started fiddling with it P:

But what do I put in the directory under setting? Default ins the F4 data directory but MO doesn't write there. I tried the mod folder ...\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\Fallout 4\mods but that doesn't work.

What do you mean directory under setting? Just install bodyslide through MO2?

But when I do that there's nothing that can be done. Is it not seeing things because I have something set in windows that keeps it from seeing the data? I can't think of anything.

I suppose MO2 is different than Vortex, in the fact that when you install BodySlide and other programs, you MUST run them through MO2. I never run programs through Vortex....even although I could do it that way. Why launch Vortex in order to, in turn, launch FNIS, or BodySlide, or SKSE64? I just launch all those programs from desktop launch icons.

MO2 Bodyslide can be launched via the desktop.

Oh. I have never used MO2, but OP said:

See if this video helps. I don't use MO2 but I found this after a quick google search

Yes I've done exactly as in the video. But when I click run (as at the 3:49 mark of the vid) BodySlide opens but there is nothing in it. The outfit/body and Preset menus have nothing listed. Yes I have CBBE installed and it works in game.

I don't want to leave you swinging in the breeze but please understand that I'm not a MO2 user. BodySlide needs to see the proper file paths in order for your Outfit/Body and Preset drop downs to contain data. From what you're describing, it looks like your BodySlide isn't properly setup.

I did read a long time ago that MO2 requires some special tweaks for BodySlide to work since BodySlide is normally is installed in the game folder and MO2 installs mods in a virtual folder and NOT the game folder. I would assume that if you pointed BodySlide to the proper paths within MO2's virtual install folder, it would work but this is just an assumption.

Maybe one of the MO2 users in this forum will see this thread and jump in to help you. Sadly, I cannot since I'd be just as lost as you are. Good luck and don't get discouraged.

Install bodyslide in mo2, then click the double gear icon at the top to add a new executable.

Then look in : C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\ModOrganizer\Instance name\mods\BodySlide and Outfit Studio, and select bodyslide x64 exe.

Your directory might be under (program files)(x86?) as that's the default.

Did you enable Bodyslide *in* MO2 after installing it through MO2?
You have to go into the installed mod list and tick the button thing next to it as if it were a normal mod.

- Install BodySlide to MO2, like a mod.
- Go to right hand panel and select Data tab above load order. There are folders here.
- Tools > BodySlide
- Right click the executable and add it as executable from menu.

Done. Now you have BodySlide set as MO2 application, with correct path. Same method applies to every modlike tool that can be downloaded through the manager.

Then why are you 'helping'? All you did was create confusion and gave completely useless responses.

More useless guessing by a useless 'helper'. Why even reply?

Did you even read the thread? I'd bet money you didn't. If you did... wow, your comprehension of what was said is severely lacking.

Another 'helper' that either didn't read or doesn't comprehend the question. Again, why are you trying to 'help' when you don't know what is being asked? That's a rhetorical question, I know full well why...

To answer your actual question:

BodySlide is looking for the Data directory in your Fallout 4 directory under the Steam Library folder. Not the main game folder.

So, if your steam library is in the default location (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common) then you would be looking for C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\, not the game directory itself (basically make sure to point to the Data directory, not the Fallout 4 directory)

If you need to make sure you are pointing to the right directory, you can right click Fallout 4 in your game list, click Manage, click Browse Local Files, navigate to the Data directory, and copy the path from the File Explorer. Paste that into the Game Data Path input under Settings if you already have BodySlide open or into the Browse Dialog on the first time you run it.

Sorry you got so many useless replies to such a simple question. Hopefully this helps you or, at the very least, any other poor soul coming across this thread looking for actual answers.

If you came to this thread looking for the same information for Skyrim, simply replace the above Fallout 4 references with Skyrim. It's that simple.

Best of luck Lone Survivors/Dragonborn.

To the rest of you 'helpers': Shame on you buffoons for wasting the time of the OP/anyone finding this thread looking for help. Pathetic. Don't worry, your replies will be promptly ignored. Clearly you have nothing of value to add here.
