Outfit Studio Help - unweighted vertices!
Trying to do a mesh adjustment on an armor piece. Shows unweighted vertices warning when i try to save and if i ignore and do it anyway the game will crash if file is added.

It originally came in a ba2. I extracted the nif and load it as a new project with my female body nif.

Anyway I can't seem to figure out how to add bones? and weight to this one part of the armor.

It'd also be nice to understand why I"ve got to do this as the armor works fine as is before i extract it.

Yep the game really doesn't like unweighted verticed at all, it's guaranteed to crash

Load up your nif, then you need a reference mesh, (e.g. if you're editing a right arm, load a vanilla right arm as ref), right click on your mesh in the tree, select Copy Bone Weights and hit OK in the next window. While your nif is selected, open the Bones tab and check every bone, they should all be coloring parts of your armor. If some vertices are missing, select a bone and paint them yourself (make sure you select one that makes sense, e.g. don't assign a forearm mesh to the Pelvis bone or whatever)

If done correctly it should let you export it
