Where do settlers put harvested crops?
I have a settler assigned to some melons and razorgrain and shes been harvesting them all the time for a couple of days now but there is nothing in the workshop.. Do they go somewhere else? I was expecting to have a good amount of crops by now but I guess not

maybe they are eating them
There will be no excess in the workshop unless there is a surplus over what is required to feed all settlers including those in other settlements on supply lines.

Then surplus production is randomised to about 75% of the excess capacity. This is in turn affected by Happiness.

And even Aid that is already in inventory will be consumed if there is insufficient production locally or in any supply line connected settlements.

There is also a limit on the amount of food in the workshop (a total of 10 items, +1 per settler). If there is more than that, no new food is added. So if you want to produce food, you have to remove food from the workshop. The same applies to water and drinkable items, though with a different cap (5, +1 per 4 settlers).

F off

Settlers do consume food (and water) in the workshop, so it can be a valid reason why there is no food showing up. Thats why Inept European mentioned supply lines. There was no reason to be rude.

You also have to consider the food is generated randomly.

If you only have one settlers working four tato plants, three melon, and two razorgrain then you can easily end up with no razorgrain on some days because it is only going to produce 6 food items at random at most (before population food consumption.) So with leftover after consumption possibly being three items, you could get two tatos and a melon instead.

Settlers prefer to eat tatos first. So the general rule of thumb is to planet enough tatos to cover the population and then plant the excess crops you want to grow.

the settlers produce a limited amount of food, water and caps from stores. there is a mod that increases settler production if you use mods. with this mod enabled your workshop will quickly fill with food, water and caps

yes, but it comes with a built-in attack reducer that you can enable or disable.

also, Game Configuration Menu is amazing. it also comes with attack reducer settings and so much more. it requires Mod Configuration Menu and F4SE
