Graphics card not detected: RTX 3060
Hi, I found some similar threads which refer to old or deprecated hardware. My drivers are pretty current and the card ist a RTX 3060 - not so old. I tried to delete the .ini files in documents\.....
Unfortunately I have a pretty bad inet connection so a new installation would cost me eons of waiting so I try to avoid it if possible. Does anyone have a suggestion what I could try?
I use no mods at all and I don't bother loosing save files. I just like it to run.
The start/options screen does not provide any resolutions at all, the drop down list is empty

I had the same issue but with my 1660 GTX Ti.

I made this ini and it fixed the issue.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/22029
Look under the downloads and you'll see the link for it.
Download and extract the Fallout4Custom.ini to Documents\My Games\Fallout4
See if it helps solve your issue also.
It's just a tiny download so it shouldn't take much time to download.

You can use the reshade with sweetfx too, after you get the resolution fixed.
It's just place and play, not considered a mod by the game so it doesn't effect anything but the graphics.
It's a small download too

Are you on a laptop by any chance? If so then make sure you're running the game with the 3060 as the preferred graphics processor.

If it still doesn't work, go to your Fallout4Prefs.ini file in your documents, find these parameters and change them to these values:

bBorderless=0
bMaximizeWindow=0
bTopMostWindow=0
bFull Screen=1
iSize H=1080
iSize W=1920

...while changing the resolution according to yours, of course.

After doing this, go into your game folder and rename Fallout4Launcher.exe to something else, and rename Fallout4.exe to Fallout4Launcher.exe. This will allow you to bypass the launcher and directly launch the game through Steam with its .exe file.

Nope, I'm om PC with triple Screen and surround. However I played that config w/o troubles with my previous machine. I think I need to reinstall anyway. I copied the steamapps folder from the old one

My issue was when I hooked up the multiple monitors, that's when it wouldn't set my resolution anymore, so I made that ini and after it worked fine.

It's the multiple monitors causing the issue.
Disconnect them except your main one and it will likely let you set the games resolution, if so then that's the issue. Happens with a few fallout titles.

If it is the issue,
These are the lines I added to the Fallout4Custom.ini
Just copy paste them or download my ini I linked.

Sorry folks. I just got a message from Steam: "Fallout 4 has finished downloading" ... well, something I guess. After that I changed Fallout4Prefs.ini and Fallout4Custom.ini to the settings I like and voilá - it works.
Thanks anyway for the help
Merry christmas

Make sure Windows and Fallout 4 are using the same resolution. (1080x1920 is mine)
Fallout4prefs.ini bTopMostWindow=0 bMaximizeWindow=0 bBorderless=1 bFull Screen=1 iSize H=1080 iSize W=1920

Desktop processors have iGPUs also, but 3 screen UW configuration is his problem.
"Worked before" on one monitor. No idea why they do this, the vertical is not enlarged to match the horizontal expanse, makes it just WEIRD. Buy 1x 42in. screen 4K and done, everything would work fine.
