Can't start Emergent Behavior

I have a problem. Curie keeps asking me to gt her a human body. But when I go to Good Neighbor and talk to Dr. Amari she just keeps on asking me not to damage the memory loungers. The caretaker's in the Mercer safehouse and won't leave to go to the Memory Den. I've already taken a synth to the place and Amari mentioned her expertise in wiping synths memories. I don't know of any way to start this quest. Is it bugged? Is there something I'm not doing to start this quest? I'm at my wits end.

Progressing in Emergent Behaviour requires you to have completed a certain stage in the main quest: accessing Kellogg's memories at the Memory Den.

While there's a caretaker mentioned during the quest it's just a person taking care of a specific synth, not the NPC named "Caretaker" associated with Mercer safehouse.

Ah, thanks! This was driving me nuts. This is my second play through of the game and I couldn't remember what I did before. I really appreciate this.
