So happy? How often do people use curie as campanion? Curie was born in commonw?

So, why not? She is happy because she has not had to endure the physical suffering a lot of humans have.

Curie has an accent because she was programmed to have one. All miss nannies do. Go talk to the one in diamond city, has the same voice.

She's so happy probably because she is a little naive but also just seems to prefer to see the positive side of most things

Define born for a robot?

She is one of my favourite companions

Do not forget that it was stated that curie also had quite a bit of custom programming done to her by her previous owners as well.

Though looking at the 40's/50's for the stereotypes used in the programming as somebody else mentioned works as well, Ms nannies seem to be either the mary popppins British nanny type or the french maid type, while mr handies tend to come across as stiff upper lip British butlers of the pre ww2 era, this is of course before raiders and whoever got there hands on them and re-programmed their speech patters or they changed them themselves over time, just how much of an actual ai these things are is kinda never stated, though it does seem to be very variable even when talking to them in the various games, some come across as definite individuals while others come across as nothing more than machines.

In case you're wondering, she doesn't have an English accent in the French version :>

Because Mrs Nannys Curie is meant to be like a french maid.

Though the other robot who joins SS, she was not happy, forgot why?
Does she always complain if SS does not fix her properly?

Made in Commonw.
Maria de Medeiros in Pulp Fiction was not born in France either. She managed to hold my attention there nonetheless.

All the robots have a set range of accents and speech patterns depending on their type and model in the end, thats is just how the robots of fallout are.

This. As a domestic type of Mr. Handy, (a Miss Nanny) she's the counterpart to Codsworth being an English butler.

That may also have inspired Doctor Kenneth Collins, who expanded on her original programming, named her Curie in human terms, and included in her personality tweaks some details from his "grad school fling from Versailles back in '46".

Unless you're playing with the robotics workbench, which allows you to give any voice from its options to any custom robot you create (sadly not the more fun and individual voices like Curie or Codsworth, though).

The programmers stuck to stereotypes - the male robotic servants are English butlers while the females are French maids.

The domestic ones, anyway. The Mr. Gutsy units are American drill sergeants.
