Saving greyed out, unable to save since installed HUDcaps but problem is still there

so yeah, got this problem, encountered it when i installed HUDcaps mod and played it on survival mode. But even in normal difficulty the save and quicksave menu is greyed out.
This problem seems to appear whenever i quickload, fixed temporarily whenever i quit the game.

Of course i uninstall HUDcaps, i won't trade a fancy looking mod for save feature. But the problem still lingers around.

'course i searched google, tried "savegame tempsave" stuff in console but still doesn't seem to fix it.

started to running out of options here, any ideas?

edit: confirmed problem, loading into a quicksave state disables my saving abilities, looking into it right now, but feel free to comment

Never played Survival Mode....but isn't it the case that you can only save when you sleep? Sorry, I may be wrong on that. I just thought I read that somewhere.

Yes,
I want to try the game in survival mode since i've heard it's similiar to hardcore mode in F:NV. Had no problems with that until...well..

You can only save when sleeping in Survival mode. Or when exiting the game. But that exit save will be deleted once you log back in on it.

I know, but that wasn't the problem, saving and quicksaving is disabled in normal difficulty (or any difficulty except survival).
Try read the topic description.
