Switchboard has 2 also. You don't need to be in the railroad to get in (though you do need hacking and picklock skills).

Edit: Isn't there one near Starlight and the Junkyard (Might just be radaway but for some reason I am thinking Hasmat Suit)

It is actually the hazmat suit. With that start me up mod choosing radiation specialist or something like that as what I do for a living

An alternative would be 'Morgan's Space Suit' (1000 rad resistance) or Captain Cosmos space Suit (750 rad resistance), which both can be fitted with ballistic weave.
(That is, if you're willing to use Creation Club.)
It can be upgraded if you have that Eco mod along with armorsmith extended

I have clothing mods that allow ballistic and weave on most anything, oddly enough not on clean black suits, institute lab coat, nuka world raider items or other odd things, possibly Far Harbor (diver suit). So I did work in the rad suits and space suits. But unnecessary at some point. You can get a perk for +40 Rad Resistance maxxed and with power armor on, you'll take very little damage.

The first one you find would be like Cambridge Polymer Labs.
It could be Morgan's space suit (which has been one of the free samples for the Creation Club in the past). If you do have that installed, you'll have it in your inventory upon first leaving Vault 111.

Rather than making false assumptions and speculations I chose to ask the OP for the information. I wanted it to be clear which suit they were referring to.

Now that I know what suit the OP is using then I know how much radiation resist the suit used by the OP has.

You are never 100% protected from radiation. You will always have a slight amount taken that is under 1, which shows as with the > or < symbol.

This is the OP's topic.
This is the OP's issue.
The question was for the OP, not you.
This was the OP's answer.

If you actually want to help the OP then pay more attention to their posts and issues. Had you paid attention then you would have noticed the OP answered the question. On top of that someone else already suggested the OP could be using Morgan's Space suit.

man i feel so awesome using the hazmat suit,
especially when slowly walking through the glowing sea.

No need to worry yourself. I simply reached your post before reading the OP's later response to it on the following page and noted the fit between the earlier mention made by others of Morgan's space suit and the early appearance.

Not, it should be noted, that Morgan's space suit is much more useful against water than a regular hazmat suit, which was the OP's opening issue. For that you need the Robes of Atom's Devoted (which I already mentioned), and those come with their own restrictions.

It does give you a feeling of freedom, though I only completely escaped it with a character I played as a knife-wielding cultist of Atom constantly wearing the Robes of Atom's Devoted.

It's nice to stroll the land knowing that radiation is no longer any kind of hidden danger. Glory to Atom!

...you just have to worry about all the murderous monsters that want to rip you limb from limb. :steammocking:

Actually the cloths shop in Diamond City can have one for sale.
By "beginning" I was thinking Sanctuary area, NW corner.

It depends whether you mean beginning in terms of time or in terms of location.

The one In Diamond City is one of the fastest you can reliably reach, while the Cambridge Polymer Labs one is technically closer but you're getting involved with a quest in order to reach it (and them locking you in means you need to complete the quest one way or another).

It is sort of open to interpretation, especially in a game where its more than possible to play for hours or days and still not be within spitting distance of Diamond City.

Yeah true. I guess it's a pretty broad term. In my current playthrough, for example, I haven't crossed the bridge yet, nearly 20 hours in.

Edit: OMG Pure Mind Games literally read my mind

It's a pretty fair distance from the beginning in time or space either way, not that it would ever be as quick/close as the startup mod the OP is using giving them one immediately (only Morgan's space suit matches that, and it's a Creation Club item).

Do you know if the helmet is removable? I'm a pretty big fan of cc stuff but if the helmet is not removable, that would be a deal breaker.
