The answer is right in front of you given the data you've provided.

Using too many bullets? Get a better gun.

Losing too much health? Get better armor.

Git gud
The only hard part about Galactic Zone is that it's bloody confusing, especially when looking for the Star Cores >.< That's about it. But then again, I don't attempt doing DLCs without maxed out Commando, Gunslinger, Heavy Gunner, Sniper and Rifleman perks among other things and an arsenal of at least 7 fully upgraded guns of various caliber with a decked out follower who wields a wide selection of grenades and gatling laser... TLDR, armed to the teeth because those assaultrons and tank bots aren't there to play :steamhappy:

I'd advise you do Automatron and FH before NW... FH has probably one of the best set of armor in game, although I myself prefer the look of heavy combat armor set than that of Marine. At lvl 34 FH shouldnt be too difficult (unless you stumble into that Fog Crawler Longfellow is itching to kill - that thing is a damage sponge. If you think NW is hard, well... prep to be surprised... since that Forg Crawler is one of the most obnoxiously hard enemies in the game)... but that armor will prove useful in NW... especially with the amount of "friendly"...um... creatures that REALLY want to give you bear hugs as soon as they see you :D

Recently, my method for handling Galactic Zone has been to exploit the heck out of the respawning star core in the junkyard until I've got twenty cores, then sneak or sprint in to Starport Nuka and switch them all over to being friendly.

But I do it in order to keep the robots around, not because I can't fight them.

I go all guns blazing unless I can snipe things from a cozy hiding spot. :steamhappy: Danse is usually my decoy ergo he needs good gear and massive gun to hold his ground. But tbh, I only deck out for what is outside NW rather than what's inside it... Like that road to the Hubologist shack was full of adventures :D

Oh, I know all about the adventures; that star core in the junkyard can be made to respawn by running a nice little circuit down the road and back around.

It seems like half the time the adventure is finding a savage deathclaw and five dead Pack members.

Yeah, I dodn't want to spoil anything in case someone hasn't done this yet.
I know that i walked into a double trouble on the way there... was a nasty surprise...

Well, I'm not going into any detail of it, but that random encounter seems to show up a heck of a lot.

Now that I have upgraded tracking missiles, no enemy shall escape me :D Although, I prefer to solve my problems with a Gatling when outdoors, I'm inlove with that gun, and with Deliverer when indoors

This is why you need to take the time to setup your character correctly and not just go guns blazing. I realize alot of players don't have the patience for this but its the way it is with this game
