Which Unique weapon gets the most perks?
Hey, I want to make a character that completely breaks the game by dumping everything into one specific unique weapon. Does anyone know which one gets the most benefits from perks? For example, Spray n Pray can get boosted by Commando, Demolitions Expert, Ace Operator, and Bloody Mess. I think it might be the winner, but what do you guys think?

Spray n Pray with "Explosive" legendary on it wouldn't need any perk lol
Deliverer is my go0to gun in every game I have started; it (fully upgraded) gets boosted pretty good with Bloody Mess, Commando (I believe, I'm not sure tho), Gunslinger, Ace Operator, and if you get Deacon's passive affinity perk, stealth kills will be sick.

Deliverer wouldn't get a benefit from Commando, since it's not an automatic weapon.

Most weapons are pretty balanced, and at core you generally get one boost for the weapon itself (automatic/pistol/rifle/heavy) and sometimes one additional boost based on some other special effect, like explosive or radiation damage. After that basic start, you've got boosts based on things like melee/ranged (Rooted), suppressed weapons (Mr Sandman), and so on..

If we're talking about which weapon gets the biggest overall boost from adding everything together (rather than which gets a boost from the most sources), it might well be a melee weapon, possibly a Disciples knife, since Mr Sandman gives a much higher sneak attack boost to melee weapons, and Nuka World has some perks that are knife-specific (they say combat knives and switchblades, but as I recall, they also apply to the Disciples knife).

Another unique weapon that hasn't been mentioned yet is the Kiloton radium rifle, which can be bought at the Nucleus in Far Harbour. Like Spray n' Pray, it has the Explosive prefix, but being a radium rifle, it also deals radiation damage, allowing it to have that part of its damage doubled by the Nuclear Physicist perk (though radiation damage isn't the most effective damage type around, due to all the enemies resistant to it).

I used UCO mod to put a two-shot legendary on my gauss rifle. That's does some serious carnage.

Two Shot can already turn up on randomly-generated legendary gauss rifles in the vanilla game.

Or get lucky; some of the fun is in working with what you've got, though I've certainly explored farming.

But as I've found more recently, workbench glitches in the vanilla game can create items that are far more powerful than just an Instigating gauss rifle.

A good weapon You can get pretty early in the Game is the Overseerer's Guardian in Vault 81. 2-shot combat rifle.

A Wounding Gatling Laser also does some damage.

An explosive combat shotgun with max rifleman and explosive perks is simply ridiculous. It is also the most likely weapon to kill yourself with.

You have yet to meet my automatic MIRV pipe rifle.

Explosive Shotguns aren't that OP anymore. Still top-class weapon, but I feel like they're "Balanced" for their position. Meaning that they're high-risk high-reward weapons. You can cause so much collateral damage with them, to yourself, allies and objects, they don't really outperform things like Two Shot automatics. Plus ammo and weapon weight in Survival. I tend to prefer Wounding Laser/Plasma.

Of course, Bethesda ninja-patched the function for damage, before Explosive weapons used to distribute the total weapon damage as an explosive, so a single shot from an Explosve Advanced Shotgun would do somewhere around 2500. Now, only the 15+(Perks) is explosive, and defanged considerably until Demo Expert 3.

The real damage of the explosive guns now comes from limb overkill. Just like Grenades.

To answer OP's question, the Kiloton Radium Rifle probably ends up the most gun weapon in the game with full spec into its damage.

You can use: Rifleman/Commando + Demolition Expert + Smooth Operator (Suppressed) + Explosive Bobblehead and Nuclear Physicist (Radiation Damage) on it.

In a similar vein, Atom's Judgement ends up being the strongest single-attack weapon in the game, reliably. You can crank more damage with a Berserker's or Instigating Sledge with full Nuka World modifications. But Atom's Judgement is Guaranteed and will probably one-shot everything anyway.
