Can't Save
I know there have been a couple threads on this, but on top of not being able to save now, I keep getting a message when I start it that sends me to a place in Windows Defender Security center I can't find myself that says "Allow An App Through Controlled Folder Access". This started happening after I did the OneDrive thing, moving my hijacked documents back and making it so things save to my computer again.
The thing is, when I click "Add An Allowed App", I go down the filepath and can't find Fallout4.exe, or anything that it would actually recognize as a Fallout 4 app anywhere...
So I guess some help with both of those things would be nice, they may even be related. Google has been especially useless on this one.

right click on the fallout game in your steam game library, then properties then local files then browse local files. thats where fallout4launcher.exe and fallout4.exe are. I dont use One Drive so someone else will have to help you with that.

At your desktop just slap "windows key + R" then type "defender" in the box.

You also might want to take a peek at this, just in case you overlooked something.

Your Fallout 4 game should be listed under "settings" > "apps". You may also have to change folder properties to see the .exe in file manager.

I did that already, it seemed to reset some things, like I had to change my in-game settings to my personal preferences again, but it didn't help with saving. And then, like I said I started getting that other message. But now that I've found the filepath (thanks btw cheshirm), it won't let me add Fallout4 to my allowed apps. It gives me a message asking if I want to let Windows Defender Security Center to make changes on my computer. I click "yes". And then, it promptly does nothing...

might be the account you are logged in on has some kind of weird permission problem. login as administrator. create a new normal account. logout. login with the new normal account. start steam as admin. try to play Fallout 4.

Yeah I had to run Windows Defender as admin or something. I just went to a wedding and had some drinks so I don't exactly remember..
