my def_ui is broken?

i installed def_ui with VIS and played a little, than left the game, after sometime I entered the game again and my def_ui is broken. I have no icons, it's just shows tags and some crap after item's name like {{{crap}}}. is there any way to fix it? thanks

did you use a mod manager or do it manually?
i would suggest to try simply re-installing it

i used MO2, and I also tried to reinstall it. reinstalling didn't help :(

hmmmm. i don't use MO2, i do mods manually so i can't help with what might be going on with the mod manager. the only thing i can think is to try and do a search. it would help if i knew what mods you're using (load order)

personally i had a hard time getting def_ui to run on my game (because manual install is difficult with this mod), so i gave up using it and use Valdacil's Item Sorting instead

i think it was just a textures file or something, i'm gonna download def_ui and see the files again. might job my memory but i think i had the same problem as you actually then solved it. but still gave up on using it anyway

ok so in your DATA folder there is an INTERFACE folder. you should have these files in there:

example path:
D:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Interface

BarterMenu.swf
ContainerMenu.swf
CustomFonts.swf
ExamineConfirmMenu.swf
ExamineMenu.swf
HUDMenu.swf
iconlibs2.swf
Pipboy_InvPage.swf
PipboyMenu.swf
settings.exe
Workshop.swf

just go check manually if they are there or not. if they are missing then that's your problem. you could grab the def_ui package and unpack it, locate those files and copy them in. but you have to make sure you get it from the right folder (there's multiple categories on this install).

i am pretty sure that the file you're likely missing is the one called "iconlibs2.swf", or this is the affected file. missing or corrupt or being over-ridden by another setting or something.

i have all of these files. i also tried to remove my iconlibs and paste original def_ui iconlibs, it didn't help. :(

seems like a localization problem. At least i remember getting text like this just happend when i played a modded skyrim/fallout on my native language, german.

As soon i screwed it all over and decided to turn the games on english very similar stuff was suddenly gone.

Other then that i always install my mods with MO2 and LOOT with a very few exceptions

I did, my game worked fine for a few hours, but when I launched my game again THIS happened and by the way, when I launched my game, all of my graphics settings were resetted and I couldn't change them, I had to open Fallout4Launcher from MO2 and change them here, wtf?

My native language is russian, but I always played this game on english, so I don't think that's the problem
