Reached level 90, and I lost Vault 88

I reached level 90! Yea!!! Good job Xenon! Still unkissed by any faction and gonna stay that way because all factions suck. But I can't get back into my home: Vault 88. The game keeps crashing when I fast travel there or even try the front door.
It was a good run and I spent a lot of time messing with building the vault. Bethesda needs to look at how the Unity Game engine does builds, or the Sims or something because their search and "try to snap" system sucks. "Oh? You want to put a Overseer window there? F*** You! You have to guess the sequence that they go together!" When it comes to building, there are mods that are better; the guys who got paid by Bethesda to write their build system robbed Bethesda blind imho. I guess the trick is, not everything will snap with everything else; so you have to put something it will snap to and then add the things it doesn't snap to.
I guess I'll either go build a new settlement somewhere else like Starlight Drive in or something or find a low level save. My chitty X01 armors are in that vault! Don't like X01 because its a high maintenance so not a big loss. It's like a WW 2 jeep vs a Humvee.... the Jeep runs and was easy to fix, the Humvee has a team to keep it running and they're always waiting for parts.

Yep... that's the kind of thing that a wonky modlist will do eventually. Highly likely it was caused by something placed in Vault 88 or perhaps a new settler or any number of other things non-specific to Vault 88 that could also occur at Starlight or any other settlement.

You could try the hot-reload trick. Load an old save that works, go inside V88, and the load the save that doesn't work and cross your fingers.

Never had any issues with the building in Vault 88. Or crashing when going there. After doing it at least 15 different times in as many runs. You using any mods?

Lots of mods. Most of them I don't need.
yeah. Level 90 in > 900 hours. Not really an achievement, given the time. More of an addiction, isn't it?

you dont play any factions and you got to lvl 90? what do you do when you are in game? im guessing 10 int for the xp gain?

Playing on survival with 5 int and idiot savant i'm at lvl 72 and have some much things to do yet, whitout any faction too.

Did it help at your game? Have tried to make a hot reload myself. Had a save point before entering quincy quarry. Now none of my savegames gets loaded at all. I CTD five seconds after the loading screen.
And it surely isn`t a technical issue if it worked perfectly fine before. I use a NVidia Geforce 1660 and GeForce Experience so no comments about weapon debris, please.

1. You should be using Buffout 4 to get crashlogs to end the mystery of why you crashed.

2. If you are using an NVidia card you need to use older drivers otherwise you will be plagued by .DLL errors. I think you need version 442 or older.

Ok, Buffout 4 is already in my mod list. I just wish I could interpret the contents of this log myself. Then i wouldn`t have to ask silly questions like that.

That is easier to do than you think.

This is the important line:

 Unhandled exception "EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION" at 0x7FFD792A0B92 nvwgf2umx.dll+07D0B92

The first part tells you if it was Fallout.exe, dll file etc. the first two digits after the + is the mod in the conflict, them you have to scroll to the bottom of the log and look to see which mod is in that slot.

If you are getting a .dll error then you have a driver issue and not a mod issue.

Ok, i don`t know how i -eventually - fixed that, but somehow i fixed it by turning off my Looks Mirror plugin. So, thanks for your explanation how to read the logs, i really didn`t know where to start reading. Now if something crashes again, I know what to look for.

Yes. I started with level 8 int, wore a vault tech lab coat (+1) while building, and used "You're special" to get another +1 intelligence.
He was weak but I poured all the points into gun nut and armor, rifleman, damage resistance, science, lone wanderer etc to make a killing machine. He got ♥♥♥♥ from everyone because of low charisma and lousy deals with trades.
I did cheat a bit: I used a map to all the bobble-heads and magazines. I've also wasted my life playing this stupid game. If the world doesn't get anti-gravity or cold fusion it's because of Fallout 4.

no,i'm addicted with 6000hrs and still so much mods to try...

I once played with no faction till level 100 but game forces you to join one to advance on the main quest.

How does it force you to join one? I've not seen that yet, but my high level game has glitched out, I think the Vault 88 glitch has spread to other settlements. I'm back to playing a low level, no mods game.
