Game is sped up?
So I just got this game for PC (since it's on sale) after playing through it a couple of times on console. However, for whatever ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reason, the game is sped up. Like, alot. I did some research and apparently the in game FPS is tied to in game speed which is just the poorest design decision I've ever heard of. I have my moniter set to 60hz, Idk what else to do. Thanks

Playing Fallout 4 for the first time now and it immediately made me nauseous. FOV is terrible (easy to adjust - I use 115) and the running is way too fast... but I mean: really way too fast. My eyes literally hurt after playing a for a few hours.

Luckily you can set the running speed in game by entering the console (~) and type:

player.setav speedmult XX

100 = default, I set mine to 75

It helps a lot to make the game easier on the eyes for me.

No, my issue here is the entire game is sped up. The dialog isn't, but the in game animations and the movement of the AI, including myself, are all accelerated.

Well, I read the most ideal settings are 60HZ. 1080p, which is what I am using. I forced Vsync through the NVIDIA settings.

I fixed the running as I described above, but I still feel the game is too fast. Guess that's how it's supposed to run? I don't really like it either, but maybe I get used to it after some more hours.

Turn on vsync, there ar also a handfull of commands and things you can change in the .ini, but vsync is easiest.

aka

sgtm *how much you want to multiply time speed by*

That's the thing, It's not supposed to run that way it just does because bethesda is incompetent

Making millions of dollars off a successful game engine because of "incompatance", right.

it's not successful, it's because they let it open so that modders can fix it. they don't even bother to fix it and just pushing creation club every now and then. You do know that creation engine isn't hard coded? even modders can create damage threshold in F4

Either turn on V-sync so the cap or do what I do and download an ENB and force it to ~61 FPS max

So selling millions of copies of Skyrim, Fallout 4 and 76 is not "successful" to you.

Bethesda is very successful when it comes to their sales simply because the previous games they've made that were actually good and the names of the games they make. Had another company made this buggy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of a game (especially 76) and named it something else, it wouldn't have nearly as much attention these games got.

It's the game engine i'm talking about. Not the games itself, did you realize that this game engine itself is the bug. Thank modding community to unleash series of patch to fix some of it. Beth instead pushing CC content rather than fix the engine, check fallout 76 it's the same mess with the same engine. Bethesda gain following because of the modding community that's it. They locked their engine then bye-bye money. Mod is the sole reason Bethesda open world game still played even today

All of you lot label Fallout 4 as a broken mess, and I have yet to encounter any game breaking bugs in my nearly 5 years of playing Fallout 4. So calling Fallout 4 a broken mess is pretty inaccurate seeing as most bugs are a result of your mods. Think I'm joking? Well, I'm not. I run 200+ mods at a time and I almost never encounter bugs worth calling the game broken.

Check fallout wikia and you'll find every quest entry had verified bug. Some ppl just lucky they never had game breaking bug. Why ppl call the engine messed up? try find quest that don't had verified bug. For me, i had bug free experience and i ran 275 mods (255 esp, 20 esl) so far but for some ppl quests are bugged even in vanilla

when you have a high framerate it sometimes breaks the game
