Luckily you can set the running speed in game by entering the console (~) and type:
player.setav speedmult XX
100 = default, I set mine to 75
It helps a lot to make the game easier on the eyes for me.
I fixed the running as I described above, but I still feel the game is too fast. Guess that's how it's supposed to run? I don't really like it either, but maybe I get used to it after some more hours.
