Crash to the desktop after update 1.10.138 when playing with mods. Problems with the file Fallout4Custom
Help solve the problem. I wanted to go through Fallout 4 again, installed the game and saw that it was updated to 1.10.138.0, downloaded updated versions of mods. Тhe game starts, but does not see mods, even simple retexture. I create Fallout4Custom, I register everything according to the instructions. The game starts, but I get crash as soon as the save is loaded. If Fallout4Custom is removed, the game starts and works fine, but does not see mods. At all.
I reinstalled the game six times. I checked the compatibility of the mod version. I did everything as written in the instructions. Launched through the launcher and through F4SE 0.6.17. Mods installed through NMM and manually tried, I still get a stable crash. Either a game without a Fallout4Custom file and no mods, or crash. I used to play on version 1.10.130, installed everything the same way, and the game was fine. Has anyone come across a similar one?
For me, this is torture.

At this point you should install mods one at a time until you hit that stable crash. Then you know which mod is no longer working as you think it should.

You should provide your loadorder and modlist here so others can better help.

you didn't forget the f4se data folder in your new install did you?

(i would never do that)

I totally did that

Wait are you using a save from the long long ago? What was the date of the save?

If it was more than a year ago when they did the first big CC update...I would say (I could be wrong, but I don't think I a) that save is hosed.

Double check you have indead updated all your mods. Pay special attention to any .dll files in Fallout4\Data\F4SE\plugins. If they do not have a date later than June 2019 they are the first thing I would focus on.

Oh and disable weapon debris in advanced graphic settings (accessed through the Fallout 4 Launcher) just incase you have a Card effected.

And definately post your Mod list and Load order.

Hmmm. Good question, but I aint ever really seen version compatability errors with Fallout 4 game saves. I know for other games it is a very common thing.

When you uninstalled the game did you delete both Fallout 4 folders (Steam and My documents) because it could be something was left behind and got carried over into each new installation.

More concerned with the older mods. I believe (and being a little Hypochondriach here) that first CC Rollout changed the way PIP boys are (made them an inventory object to be changed at Workbenches). Not sure how that affected Mods like AWKCR (sp?) or other mods. I think that was the update that killed the launcher mod enabler and inserted the Bethesda.net mod thingy and I quit playing for a year over that, so I missed all the Hullabaloo.

I completely deleted all the folders and files of the game and installed the game again. Mods: looksmenu, preset looks, CBBE without BodySlide, AWKCR and texture replacer. Other mods have not yet installed. The order of loading tried different, in different combinations. I connected the mods one by one. All mods downloaded an updated version. All these mods work for other players. F4SE is also the latest version. Shards of weapons and god's rays are disabled. Saves are not old, every time I started a new game. Crash when playing with mods. Regardless of which mod is connected. A pure game without mods does not crash. But I do not want to play without mods. I think (not sure) the problem is something related to the Fallout4Custom file. Even if I install not simple modes but simple textures without esp, I create Fallout4Custom and write bInvalidateOlderFiles = 1 and sResourceDataDirsFinal = the game crashes. If I delete this file, everything works, but the game does not see the installed textures. I tried many different ways to run the game with mods. I did not try only one - reinstalling windows and all drivers.

Should read:
[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=

I have no idea why you would bother using CBBE without Bodyslide. How would you get any skins to the right size of the custom body?

Wouldnt cause your crash, but your clothes would look funny.

Yes, I wrote this way in the file:
[Archive]
bInvalidateOlderFiles = 1
sResourceDataDirsFinal =
(I forgot this in the [Archive] comment)

BodySlide never used, only presets for faces. I am satisfied with the body of CBBE vanilla, which comes with a mod, it converts outfits. Clothes look fine.

Ok. Now the time to post your mod list in load order format. Cause I am all out of ideas. I am assuming you have tried only one mod and it still crashes. If you haven't; install only the Fallout 4 Unofficial patch (And if you don't use this mod, start!)

A lot of CBBE clothing mods require you to BUILD the outfit in Bodyslide to use them. Even if you don't need it, you should still use it.

I hope they are not using the meshes without the CBBE.esp That might cause a crash. If they are just using one of the presets and the matching outfits (Base install has Vanilla Outfits in 3 flavours.)
