Planting food but the food amount in the bar still shows 0

OK I cleared out a settlement at Red Rocket (the one over the bridge from sanctuary). I scrapped a bunch of stuff and also created a couple of garden plots. I planted food both in the plots and in the areas on the ground where it was allowed. However the amount of food shown in the top bar still shows 0.

You need to assign settlers to it. Enter workshop mode, aim at a settler, select them, then any of the crops.

Yeah, planting the crops doesn't do anything. Only when you have someone working those crops will the number go up.

Can I assign someone from Sanctuary like Jun or Mama Murphy? I've already done the beds, defense and water stuff

To do that you would have to reassign the settlers from Sanctuary to Red Rocket. A better thing to do would be to build a radio beacon and power supply and turn it on - then new settlers will show up every so often and you can assign one of those new ones to the crops.

First of all. The collision was on in Nuka World. I thought it might be a mod but it turned out it wasn't. I uninstalled then re-installed the game. Evidenlty like Peon you don't read responses.

I did build a generator and beacon and turned on the beacon and still no one showed up after I went somewhere else and returned later.

He's a joke, and a bad one at that. I mean, the fact that he could have done a simple search and learned how settlements work is relevant, but besides the point. He knows how all this works. He just wants to make threads that have little to no purpose or substance because he's bored.

I noticed when it was posted and I laughed, hard. By my estimation of the OP's posts and the OP's bug topics he has finished the game at least twice. So yeah I find it hilarious especially considering someone keeps defending him, repeatedly.

I even stayed out of posting from it until the OP brought me into it again. This is like the third of fourth topic now the OP started bashing me before I even posted anything in it. Give it a few hours and someone will come along to argue it is my fault.

Yeah I finally got the hint. And BTW you don't need to respond to any of my posts. I think that's your real world job both you and Good Whiskey who love to troll new players.

We are not all "resident geniuses" like the two of you and don't have any where near the playtime
hours.

I help anyone with questions. You just kept coming back repeatedly because you kept breaking your game. You then got mad because I pointed out that you were the problem with your mods and console commands.

Then of course someone else comes along and starts arguing it was hypothetical garbage that caused it. So instead of listening to me you listened to the guy with his hypothetical garbage. Yet in the end I was right because you did have to reinstall.

So 5,000 hours played aint enough? There is only one other player i can think of with more play time and you definitely do not want help from danconnors.
