Fallout 4 Assault Rifle early?

In fallout 4, you can mod the basic assault rifle, and with the right perks, over 100 damage per shot can be achieved. I really enjoy hunting deathclaws, but I restarted my game and I am only level 15. Any guaranteed places to find this carbine? I am aware that I likely will not have enough levels to max the gun out, but getting the gun itself would be very helpful.

there is allways one in the national guard training center, in the main building , it should be near the nuka cola machine.

You won't find much ammo for the gun at level 15 and what's available to you now is probably going to vastly outclass the AR in damage.

Regardless, the loot in the National Guard Training center is leveled, so if you're below level 25ish, you won't find an assault rifle.

I found an assault rifle in Kendall hospital around level 15. It was on the scaffolding above the death claw arena.

And I had picked up a combat rifle a little before that, very limited ammo though.
