Most useless faction : The Minutemen
Don't even dream about saving other people or even the Commonwealth if you can't even win a fight with Super Mutants 3v3.

Also, I am your general. I should be the one who give order. Not Preston. And tell my armies to get the job done, not the otherwise.

And give me back my power armor you just stole, you useless sack of ♥♥♥♥.

yes, i fully agree

if there were any real choice in this game, i would have killed every minutemen with pure pleasure.
they suck ass, the quests suck ass, they are a bunch of selfrightious douchbags.

>"hey, we need beds, build them"
>a little later the same guy builds a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ teleporter

>"we have atrillery now"
>too bad whenever you need it, you're out of range

>"support settlement XYZ"
>there's literally nothing there to make it a 'settlement'

as much as i love the basebuilding mecanics in this game, in the end it's quite useless.
you can waste tons of materials on the base and receive literally nothing

last but not least and not even Minutemen related:
when finishing zthe game as institute boss, you also have no purpose.
there could be so much to do, buzt well... NOTHING follows.

this game does ALOT of things right but hell, does it piss me off often enough.

unkillable NPCs are the most annoying plague of pc games since years.
sometimes you just want to shoot the damn piece of ♥♥♥♥

How does that make them any more useless than anyone else? The brotherhood loses vertibirds to bloatflies

The institutes synths die in droves.

The railroad dies to molerats.

All of them send you on the same kind of menial tasks, and all of them can take your power armor.

Every single complaint you made applies to every single faction.

Look at it this way . When Preston makes you the general , He's got years ( if not decades of service ) with the Minutemen and in this '' new world'' , you're basically a adult version of an new born baby .

At least the MM got artillery.

Then again, you need mods to make it useful :/

Oh, then maybe HE should be general, not the "new born baby."

There is a quest at the abandoned housr near Graygarden. If you are the minutemen general and was sent there by the institute you find a guy hiding insidr the house that you need to rescue/convince to join the institute..

But there are minutemen outside surrounded the house and planning to bash into there to kill him.

If you "order" them to stand down they tell you that you migjt be the general but they dont take orders from you.

I killed them all. And done with them. Arrogant and ignorant behaviours..

Better be the grey cardinal. Especially when everyone wants to shoot the General and not you.

Someone attacks you.
You see a power armor, which has been left there powered.
Some green giant screams that he is going to eat you and then make soup out of you family.

Enter power armor
Yes?
No?

Settlers and companions have survival instincts and they act accordingly. They will pick better weapons, ammo and armor, if they are under settler AI during any attack they need to defend themselves. The will enter in to PA, if they find functional FC, or if one was left inside of it.

Settlers usually step out of PA when they get to bed. Except guards.
You can always just command your companion to exit from PA, just by talking to them.

This. Every faction has it's short commings. I pick the Minutemen to do the final quest to the main story because I think they are the best for the Commonwealth and they align the most with what my char would want. As he generally agrees with what I would want if faced with the same situation in real life.

In the game, you are the Champion of the Commonwealth and even tho you are the General, you still kick major ass compared to anyone else. And Preston knows that.

no its the stupid railroad, they kidnap synth, brainwash them and let them go on rampage because freedom or some other stupid ♥♥♥♥... leaving the institute to clean up their mess and bare the infamy...no other faction is more moronic and as useless as the railroad...that is why I kill them in every playthrough

Ballistic Weave is pretty awesome and I like Deacon and his affinity. I guess one could still wipe out the RR once you get those. But I would feel like betraying Deacon.

But in general I agree with your assessment of the RR. And I certainly USE the Institute before I nuke them. And I also use BOS to get what I want without going any further with the quests beyond Fort Strong.

Agreed. I do exactly the same as this. Use them all to get what YOU want, and take their faction quests as far as they can go to the point when you have to decide who to side with.

Personally, although BoS is fun and I love Danse as a follower, I'm going with a Minuteman ending this time. Also the mod "We Are The Minutemen" gives the faction a bit more use and prominence around the Commonwealth; I'm often bumping into groups of MM patrolling the area.

I don't really connect with the Railroad's cause but, like wtiger27, I do like Deacon and wouldn't want to murder him if I sided with BoS.

RR:We're the synths only friends. When we find a synth with the individuality and determination to escape from the Institute, we help them. We do this by utterly destroying the persona that exhibited that individuality and determination, wiping out all of their memories and then forcing a new persona of our own creation into their mind. Sure, sometimes they go bad and kill a lot of people, but that's a chance we're willing to take.

The MM is the WEAKEST and the most ANNOYING faction, that’s for sure.
Preston is probably the most hated NPC in the whole game.

lol. I see that from the posts on here. But, really, I do not find him that annoying. After you get the point where you get the quest for the Castle, you can ignore his requests. He will still help you to teleport into the Institute and also use them to wipe them out.
