Bodyslide & Blender.
So, I made a custom preset or slide in Bodyslide however most of the modded clothes that are for cbbe body don't fit and if they do they basically shrink my character. I do realize that I will have to use outfit studio in Bodyslide to get them to work. I just don't know where to start if there's more to it than that or I;m missing something. Just let me know if you can give me any insight on this. It seems a little daunting to use outfit studio in bodyslide and or blender. Also I want to confirm if there is any mod that can make them fit. I'm doubting that and I'm guessing I'll have to manually make each armor piece fit via bodyslide. Again if you can help me in anyway just let me know. Thanks. <3

Ok. lets start by making some clarifications. BODYSLIDE is nothing more than mesh BUILDER. In other words, you create a body preset in BodySlide and then build your armor, clothes and accessories you fit your body preset. Your clothes aren't fitting your character because you most likely skipped the critical step of actually BUILDING the meshes according to the preset you created.

OUTFIT STUDIO is actually a light version of a modeling application. You can use Blender and 3dsMax to do the same thing but Outfit Studio was designed to be much more user friendly with a considerably less steep learning curve.

Some of the things you would use Outfit Studio for are:

Making conversions from one body type to another
Conforming a mesh to your body preset to reduce or eliminate clipping
Creating zap sliders which will allow you to customize your clothes.

Just to name a few.....

There is no "mod" that will automatically fit your clothes to your body preset if they're not conforming properly. Outfit Studio IS the MOD. You'll just have to learn how to use it but the good news is there are many tutorials and videos out there that will show you the way. Google is your friend here.

The great majority of the time you'll be just using BodySlide to build your meshes to fit your body preset. You'll use Outfit Studio mostly for tweaking.

BTW, you can BATCH build in BodySlide.

Yes! I watched a few videos! But I keep coming to this one issue! I Have CBBE base but beneath it as a preset I have the body I saved and I'm currently using. But when I go into the outfit studio and start trying to fix the mesh as in pulling it from beneath the skin its NOT my preset its just the base CBBE body and I tried loading my custom preset to outfit studio but it sets all the sliders to zero and I'm basically back at the same problem.

I modeled the outfit to fit cbbe base but when i apply my preset in outfitstudio it needs to be remodeled and i cant change it

I wish I could show you what I'm talking about. I can't mold the outfit to my cbbe preset when only the cbbe base body shows up with the outfit I'm changing.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but it sounds like you're trying to fit a garment that was created for the CBBE BASE body to your preset. If this is a VANILLA armor or clothing, there are already bodyslide files included BodySlide. You don't have to do what you're doing. Just build the garment to your preset using the premade BodySlide file.

However, if this is a garment added by a mod, you have a couple of choices:

1. Check you mod site to see if anyone has already created BodySlide files for that garment.

2. Create the Bodyslide files yourself PROVIDED the garment is already CBBE compatible. If it's NOT compatible with CBBE, you FIRST will have to convert it using OUTFIT STUDIO, Once this is done, then your second step will be creating the BodySlide files.

Omg sorry to respond so late but I figured out the issue! I was doing everything correctly but I figured out that once I'm in outfitstudio with the CBBE body and the garment I'm editing, I then needed to 'load presets'. Then 'set to base' then I could edit that specific garment to my preset I made. Then after I don't have any obvious collision I can save the outfit under save as and making sure I click that one box that prevents another body being over top of my character's body. (sounds weird but yes). Then I checked in outfits and sure enough it was there and was clearly larger. I then deleted all the previous failed attempts and kept the new one. Idk if I needed to press build batch after saving but I didnt. I just deployed my mods in vortex and launched fallout via F4SE and it worked nicely on my character. No shrinkage to cbbe base to conform to the outfit and no clipping. There was some slight clipping in poses and during running but that is fixable Ill just have to go back and increase the mesh and repeat the process. I'm super glad I have it working now. Last night I was up till 2:30 trying to figure it out and I went to bed not knowing. Now I do and I'm happy lol. Imk if theres anything that stands out to you about what I did. Ik it might seem like im doing it in a weird way but so far its working.
