Companies are not folowing me

My companions are stuck on idle.... I tell them to folow me and they say yes and just wander off. Same with dismising. I tryed console comands dogmeat trick, vertiberd trick but nothing works. Does somebody have any other ideas?

Hi yes try using recycle actor as this normally solves the problem.

that is what a comand a mod? Cause if its suposed to be a comand it does not exist.

Just open console, click on a companion and then recycle actor command!

Recycle is not a scirpt comand and if im suposed to type in something else i dont know cause i dont know console comands..............

be careful using recycle actor: it will reset them, which means it will also reset their inventory...

i learned this the hard way..

Yes. But like i said. It either tells me that recycle actor is not a sript comand or it does nothing idk.

Amazing Followers Tweaks the mod is something you might try. It tends to fix all sorts of bugs with companions and allows you to tweak them to your hearts content

You are typing it in a one word, yes? Its recycleactor not recycle actor. And your clicking on them before hand to select them, and changing maps (going inside something works) to make it actually function (not needed for other NPCs).

Well it surely did something but the companions still dont want to follow me. They just say they will go and then stay idle.......

my apologies if my original posting appeared to be misleading I just assumed you would be familiar with console commands point to character and type in recycleactor this command resets the actor to its default settings do bear in mind this may also effect any mods you may have used on the npc you are resetting. I have on occasions had to use this command on companion who have gone awol or just frozen in the game i seems to work ok without any lasting damage on the npc in question.

Thank you for explanation. I tried many things but none work so i just ended up loading some older save since it semed that save was somehow corupted. Thank for explanation and atemp to help me.

You really should get Amazing Followers Tweaks. It fixes all the problems with companions. And allows you to have up to 5 companions at the same time. Makes all your companions highly customizable even their facial features. Gives you a camp. It teleports your companions to you if you get to far away.

One of the nicest features you can order you companions to collect junks/equipment from around you. Because why couldn't you tell your companions to load up on junk for your settlements.
