Also there is a item you may want later if you finish up with her quests.
But she is a psychopath and I encourage her to leave the Vault at the end. lol.
You can keep her as a Vault member if you want. But I think that will be based on what decisions you made with the experiments.
In any case, it makes sense to go for the harmless versions of the experiments, as you want to utilize the results for your other settlements.
The Mood Enhancer's only "downside" is the addition of trippy dialogue lines for settlers, and it gives three times the happiness bonus of the Generic Caffeination option.
For some reason i always use the Lavender&Vanilla Dispenser for the Bike, Caffeine for the Soda, improved eye care and Customer Profiling for the Slots...
Just love how they complain that the Slots call them "degenerate" afterwards.
to sum it up...
experiment 1: fail
experiment 2: fail
experiment 3: fail (it just does what a eye care machine does...)
experiment 4: success
i also keep Barstow... one just can't let her loose on the Commonwealth... and the Settlers seem to talk about "being watched" behind her back... thats additional funny moments.
- Power Cycle: Environmental Enhancer (harmless, worst power)
- Soda Fountain: Mood Enhancer (harmless/trippy, best happiness)
- Phoropter: Improved Eye Care (harmless, middle happiness)
- Slot Machine: Lost Revenue (harmless, best happiness, construction costs extra caps)
I inevitably end up with plenty of caps, so I don't really need the slot machine to earn money and can afford the construction cost for Lost Revenue, in return for it providing the best happiness. Unlike even the Mood Enhancer, it doesn't require an assigned person, so you can build as many slot machines as you want.Naturally, the Power Cycle doesn't matter because even the "best" one (highest power output but can kill settlers) isn't worth building except to let you assign the +1 SPECIAL buff to Endurance, and you can get that from any version. For the other items, I'm after the best happiness with no death chance.
That is true. But it is never a issue with my runs, because I never use them in settlements.
But it is good to mention it as something which can happen.
