As far as Bodyslide goes, this is also a "Tool" that you use and can set up within Vortex, like you did with F4SE (so it's not actually "in" the game itself). Then, once you open it, you can build your bodies and/or outfits from mods that you've downloaded and installed. It takes awhile to get used to, but there are many tutorial videos that will help with understanding how it works. Here is a link to one such video by Gopher, that is a good place to start:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wkwtgp3x25s
so the presets are only in the bodyslide program? and not actual presets you can change in game right?
also if your talking about the actual app that allows you to edit the actual bodies and post them, then i kinda understand that part. i just need help with the outfit textures and posting the bodies in game.
And, yes, any Presets you download and install are only used in Bodyslide, and you can't change them in-game. The LooksMenu mod may allow that, but I've never used it, so I don't know what it actually does.
First off bodyslide isn't a mod it's a tool you can use. You can't activate it in-game you gotta do everything through the program itself in the files not in-game. Sorta like F4SE (though that is another thing entirely i'm just saying it's not a mod that just set it and forget it).
Bodyslide you wanna first manually put the files into fallout 4 folder. Do not use a mod manager its better ti manually download and unzip them in the game files.
You could download through nexus or a mod manager but you may not register it or the sliders won't appear.
When its there you open the application and if it's got the bars appear it should be installed correctly.
If not try again or come back here we'll help.
If its installed correctly next is installing any of the already available body slide bodies like CBBE (calientes beautiful body enhancements), wonder body, jane body, atomic beauty, etc. (There are more women than man body mods because horny boys). There also exists race mods mostly anime (again horny boys and weebs) but others exist like deathclaw or dragon scale bodies.
These are all premade body mods making it so you can make outfits and armor and share em easier.
Once you do you can easily download any preset mod clothing or outfit as well ad body slider presets for said body like say ex: kite nurse outfit for fusion girl or curvy body preset for CBBE.
Download the required nexus mods for it and then drag the files into the preset files for bodyslide.
Open bodyslide and build or batch build.
There are 2 bars on the top left. The 1st is what item you wanna change so say combat armor or flannel shirts or whatever mod item if it has bodyslide files.
The 2nd bar below is chooses the body type you wanna work around. So say CBBE or fusion girl or atomic beauty. You would select combat armor or flannel shirt then the 2nd one would be the Fusion girl body type or whatever body type / preset you have. It also works on presets so if you have a CBBE or atomic body preset (for example) it'll show up there. Just remember what type of body you're using.
Singular build means you can pick and choose what you wanna do with what one at a time and avoid other armors clothing or bodies like if you only wanna work on your character's bodies you can choose them and whatever preset you wanna use.
Batch build you can choose several outfits and armors to be affected by said body preset or item like say change default underwear you can choose several like raiders or npc bodies and outfits.
Then save it as a preset and it should appear in-game.
You can click on the preview button below the build before you do anything to see what type of body or outfit will look like (probably should've mentioned this beforehand but it shouldn't be too hard to realize what the word preview means).
If you wanna make your own body type mod or outfit you'll wanna look up a video and use outfit studio. It's more complicated than what i put. I'm giving you the watered down way to add already made mods. If you wanna make your own clothing armor or body type you gotta look up videos on how to do it.
Do note if you make your own outfit or body type that outfits may clip through since they're preset to be a certain length i.e. default no bodyslide vanilla bodies meaning say you increase the chest arm or leg size the clothing or armor may clip through the body.
you can do that
but
again if it doesn't work download manually and install into fallout 4 files. If done correctly either way through vortex / mod manager / manually there should be a bodyslide and bodyslide 64X outfit and outfit x64.
If you click on it and open it if it appears with sliders after a bit you did it right if not try again and if you can't figure it out come back to the forums or look up the stuff online.
