having a problem with uninstalling the Fallout 3 Vault Suit mod
so I saw the Fallout 3 Vault Suit mod on the nexus, and wanted to try it out, because it looked interesting.
After installing it, I realised that it replaced all Vault Suits, even though I chose the standalone version of it. I tried to re-install it to fix it, because maybe i misclicked during the installation, which didn't help, So I decided to disabled it using Vortex, restarted the Game and the Vault Suit turned purple, using the same mesh as the Fallout 3 Vault Suit. I closed the game again and removed the mod, after restarting the mesh was still in there and still purple.
Even after starting a new game all the Vault Suits are purple with the same mesh, so it's not caused by a savegame.
I also removed all the related files from my drive, which also didn't help.
Searching online for a solution I also couldn't find anything.
So maybe someone could help me with that.

So, apparently this lovely mod edited the vanilla mesh-files and overwrote the textures.
Have you tried verifying your game-files via STEAM?
Not sure if the verification goes that deep down the data-thread, but that would be my first step.
If that doesn't help you need to get the vianilla files back to your system....and that sounds like re-installing to me.

Usually when this happens you have to look at the mod and manually delete the files the mod adds especially if the issue continues after disabling the mod as that only disables the esp, esm, esl files related to the mod where a mod like this most likely replaced the vanilia files in the data directory that is associated with the vault suits. One way to get a list of the files would be to use the view contents option at the mods file page.

for example files like these

📁 Textures 📁 Clothes 📁 VaultSuit 📄 VaultSuitNumber101_d.DDS (1.4 MB) 📄 VaultSuitNumber101_n.DDS (1.4 MB) 📄 VaultSuitNumber101_s.DDS (43.8 kB) 📄 VaultSuitNumber101dirty_d.DDS (1.4 MB) 📄 VaultSuitNumber101dirty_n.DDS (1.4 MB) 📄 VaultSuitNumber101dirty_s.DDS (43.8 kB) 📁 Meshes 📁 TheFriedturkey 📁 FO3VaultSuit 📄 FVSArmoredOutfit.nif (271.9 kB) 📄 FVSArmoredOutfit1stPerson.nif (65.9 kB) 📄 FemaleVault101Suit.nif (139.8 kB) 📄 FemaleVault101Suit1stPerson.nif (26.2 kB) 📁 Textures 📁 TheFriedturkey 📁 VaultSuit 📄 VaultSuit_s.dds (22.4 MB)

there is nothing on my drive that even relates to the mod anymore, and it still didn't fix it after completly removing anything fallout 4 related from my drive

The only way a mod can replace a vanillia asset would be to place it under the original assets name in the correct location in the data folder this should revert once the mod is removed and a new game is started. If it does not then it may have actually somehow replaced the BA2 file that contained the original items however I saw nohing in the mod unless I was looking at the wrong list that indicate it replaced the original files.

Sometimes one has to rename or remove the original file for it to be replaced by the verification process while it is rare there are times a corrupt file will pass the checksum verification performed by steams validate file process.
