Brute forcing a quest with the console is never a good idea since this can break your game when you least expect it. This forum is loaded with threads started by players who have used the console like it was a cheat tool and wind up with corrupted save or self inflicted "bugs" that rear their ugly heads when they're much further into the game. The console should only be used as a last resort, and even then, you should think twice about it.
In this quest, Longfellow will stop to talk to one of the Children of Atom, just like the previous poster says. If you interfered with this via a mod or by killing her, this is probably the reason the quest is hanging up. I'd suggest going back to a previous save and replaying.
