Presents great price, but i find hard to play having played Fallout 4
Due to looks much better, Do most people have the games?or considering buying on sale?
Can Fallout 3 be enjoyed despite looking old?
I like to wait and hope MS wants the company to do remasters?

FO New Vegas doesn't particularly need remastering, imo. If it's just a couple of dollars and you enjoyed FO4 and curious about FONV then buy it.

I'd probably buy both games at this price (if I didn't already have them).

People that judge games just by how they look are missing out on a lot.

So right is gameplay enjoyable and story and side missions?
Thanks, is the DLC worth playing on Fallout 3?

FNV is overall the far better video game. Better world building, consistency, better characters and companions (all the way down to ED-E that doesn't say a word), better story telling, better weapons and weapon variety, better enemies (like cazadors and better deathclaws) much better DLCs, its the far superior fallout title as well, as in, it still understands that Fallout is handling the post-apoc human conundrums rather than sit on rubble and shacks for 210 years, BUT still loses to FO4 in gameplay, visuals (not by much) and more importantly, stability. FNV engine is held together by paper clips.

With how quickly you jumped straight into "gameplay and how good it looks", id say do not bother. Similar to recommending Mass Effect 1 to someone that just stated Andromeda is their favorite, do not bother. But maybe im wrong, who knows.

Thanks, I played Mass Effect dont mind, So Fallout 3 or DLC not worth playing?

Fallout 3 is Fallout 4, but better.

Similar exploration experience, similar world building (still better than FO4), better main quests, better sides quests, better settlements and world locations, and id also rate FO3 DLCs higher than FO4, stuff like broken steel and point lookout are levels above fo4 contraptions, vault 88, or even nuka world.

The downsides to FO3 id say are the somewhat tiresome subway system, the gameplay where you can't even use ironsights (you can mod it in tho), and again, the engine, that can crash out of nowhere.

Thanks, think heard was confusing metro or get lost?
Fallout 3 work ok with win 10? or need to config to work?
Heard game of the year does not work but Fallout 3 does.

I don't know about FO3 "working", that started with Windows 10 and last run i played of FO3 i still had windows 7 couple years back, everything went fine then. I think the forums or even the nexus will have all the fixes to have the game start and play.

Metro system can be confusing and frustrating, yes. Especially at time of release, way too many people would be in message boards raging at Bethesda over getting completely lost, or walking for 20 minutes just to end in the exact same place lol.

As a sidenote, there are also mods like "Tales of Two Wastelands" that let you combine both FO3 and FNV into one giant Fallout game. As a newcomer, first time player, i wouldn't recommend it tho, just making you aware that such things exist.

depends on, whether you love or hate that Vegas-theme. But if you can live with that, why not

Ofc it´s worth playing, the question is rather do you like the old mechanics, some of it can be modded to feel more modern though.

Othre than that you can also buy xbox gamepass for 1 euro for a month and play Fallout 3 and new vegas

I know when I upgraded to windows 10 I had to do two things to get my windows live version of fallout 3 to work.

1) copy one of the dx9 dll files into the games directory. Otherwise it would crash with an error message on launch.

2) launch using f3se do to some issue with windows live that is bypassed by f3se.

So need windows live to work Fallout 3?

Save file gets damage but heard prevents if do
Always save to new file
Never quicksave.
Disable autosaves by pressing esc, settings, game, disable 3 autosaves.

When fallout 3 came out it was in multiple versions

Console
Windows Live (microsofts version of achievment tracking and store at the time)
Steam

The one we get on steam most likely does not require the windows live thing but did originally require the dx9 dll since that was the version of directx at the time fallout 3 was developed. I suspect the one that works from steam was modified to work with the newer directx or has the file included in its instalation.
