I'd probably buy both games at this price (if I didn't already have them).
So right is gameplay enjoyable and story and side missions?
Thanks, is the DLC worth playing on Fallout 3?
With how quickly you jumped straight into "gameplay and how good it looks", id say do not bother. Similar to recommending Mass Effect 1 to someone that just stated Andromeda is their favorite, do not bother. But maybe im wrong, who knows.

Similar exploration experience, similar world building (still better than FO4), better main quests, better sides quests, better settlements and world locations, and id also rate FO3 DLCs higher than FO4, stuff like broken steel and point lookout are levels above fo4 contraptions, vault 88, or even nuka world.
The downsides to FO3 id say are the somewhat tiresome subway system, the gameplay where you can't even use ironsights (you can mod it in tho), and again, the engine, that can crash out of nowhere.
Thanks, think heard was confusing metro or get lost?
Fallout 3 work ok with win 10? or need to config to work?
Heard game of the year does not work but Fallout 3 does.

Metro system can be confusing and frustrating, yes. Especially at time of release, way too many people would be in message boards raging at Bethesda over getting completely lost, or walking for 20 minutes just to end in the exact same place lol.
As a sidenote, there are also mods like "Tales of Two Wastelands" that let you combine both FO3 and FNV into one giant Fallout game. As a newcomer, first time player, i wouldn't recommend it tho, just making you aware that such things exist.
depends on, whether you love or hate that Vegas-theme. But if you can live with that, why not

Othre than that you can also buy xbox gamepass for 1 euro for a month and play Fallout 3 and new vegas
1) copy one of the dx9 dll files into the games directory. Otherwise it would crash with an error message on launch.
2) launch using f3se do to some issue with windows live that is bypassed by f3se.
So need windows live to work Fallout 3?
Save file gets damage but heard prevents if do
Always save to new file
Never quicksave.
Disable autosaves by pressing esc, settings, game, disable 3 autosaves.
When fallout 3 came out it was in multiple versions
Console
Windows Live (microsofts version of achievment tracking and store at the time)
Steam
The one we get on steam most likely does not require the windows live thing but did originally require the dx9 dll since that was the version of directx at the time fallout 3 was developed. I suspect the one that works from steam was modified to work with the newer directx or has the file included in its instalation.
