Game wont unpack help

Every time i try and install the game it wont unpack but it will fully install.

I do not know what to do now.

Any help is appreciated!

Not sure what you mean by "unpack". Unpack what, exactly?

i downloaded a mod and i dont know how to get rid of it

Ok so it says

It wont download any assest

You should not put games in your Program Directory. It's fine for it to be in another *folder* - just not under Program Files. Are you referring to "unpacking MODS?" that's not anything to do with installing the game. Are you trying to install a mod? How are you doing that? What mod manager are you using. Or are you trying to install a mod manually?

I installed a mod when the game was running and uninstalled it by acadent.

And now the game wont work .

Well, sorry but you will have to uninstall the game, and re-install it. This time, change your Steam install location to something other than Program Files. Check the Pinned Topics on how to do a complete uninstall, and then a clean re-install. And use a mod manager..... preferably not while the game is running.

First try validating the files if that fails you may then have to reinstall.

I would advise not having steam installed in the program files folder due to windows constant security updates causing issues this link will help if you decide to move it to another location.

It does not require another drive to move the entire steam insatllation.

go to the section titled "How do I move my existing Steam Installation?"

D:\Games\Steam\ is just an example you could just cut and paste the files to c:\Games\Steam\
