There is no water in the slog settlement
Well, I mean, you can drink the water but there is none.

It's empty, no water, even if there is the sound of splash or more.

You have the pool there with lots of water in it. Setup a generator type water pump in it.

You can also build a hand water pump where the crops are being grown.

Pretty sure that's not what OP meant.

This sounds more like the water "texture" on the pool is not rendering properly for some reason for OP.

Check mods first (if any), if you were disabling objects (in console), you might have caught the water by accident.

What is funny is, I am using Pilgrim mod.

When I turn on the filter, I can see the water, but when it's off, i do not.

Then you have your answer which is causing the issue.

Thanks, I use no mods, so I generally look at a issue a player posts based on the game without mods, unless they specifically mention mods or it is one I have seen referenced to on here before.

Scrapping mods like Place Everywhere can scrap or move the water.

I use it to raise the water level in Starlight, or remove it if using Build Your Own Pool.

Now, that would be pretty awesome to be able to build a real pool without worrying about radiation.

It is actually a really cool mod because it allows you to place water anywhere.

This mod has nothing to do with the water, it's just a filter.

So?
Graphical filter and your issue is graphical by nature.

I had a weather mod glitching computer terminal screens before despite it not having any changes done to computer terminals.
