Fallout4.exe could not be found (f4se)

Every time i try to launch fo4 through f4se i get fallout4.exe could not be found. ive searched more on the error and everyone is saying that the f4se loader is not in the fallout directory folder, when mine is. i did this twice: fo4->properties->local->browse and paste the contents into the folder. some help on this will be nice

First, you don't have to unzip all the content to the installation folder. Here's what f4se says:

1. Copy f4se_1_10_163.dll, f4se_loader.exe, and f4se_steam_loader.dll to your Fallout installation folder. This is usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout 4\, but if you have installed to a custom Steam library then you will need to find this folder yourself. Copy the Data folder over as well.

Second, you can specify what executable you want to run by following the next steps:

1. Go to Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\ (if the "F4SE" folder doesn't exist, create it)
2. Create a file called "f4se.ini" inside that folder and write these strings in it:

[Loader]
RuntimeName=Fallout4.exe

Save it

You can even run f4se via Steam by doing next:

1. Go to your Fallout 4 folder, which most likely is -"C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Common\Fallout4\"
2. Rename the Fallout4.exe to F4.exe
3. Rename f4se_loader.exe to Fallout4.exe
4. Go to \data\f4se\ - if the f4se folder doesn't exist, create it.
5. Make a file called f4se.ini and write this in it

6. Save file
7. Start Fallout 4 via steam and hit Play

none of these instructions be workin for me on trying to get f4se to read fallout4.exe as existing in the folder as i downloaded through xbox play anywhere something has got to give

Are you playing on Steam with a PC?

because you can't swap out files, this is a platform-specific game. Your account that you've posted with doesn't own the game on Steam.
