Diving suit has decent rad resist and allows breathing underwater, hazmat suit just has really good rad resist, about 1000 i believe.

I take it back the diver suit
Has 250 rad resist which is the equivalent to rad x hazmat has 1000, so hazmat is better for the glowing sea while diver suit is better for everything else

Hazmat suit on top of 1000 rad dmg resist has a hidden stat that reduces any radiation source by 99%

I discovered this while buffing the hooded cleanroom suit. Just 1000 rad res was not enough to give same amount of radiation protection Hazmat suit gave. Then i noticed Hazmat suit had additional stat on top of the 1000 rad res.

So yea Hazmat suit hands down. For water breathing you can use mirelurk cakes in combo with it.

I'd say the diving suit if you plan on roleplaying as Aquaman.

For Aquaman roleplay there is perk Aquaboy/Aquagirl

In your perks you can swim in water and breath, no rads. as above post.

Aqua perk is just too good not get. One perk point for the ability to breathe underwater and radiation immunity in water is op.

Alright thank you all

The hazmat suit is just the best at what it specializes in handling, while there are other options for underwater breathing that work just about as well, including the perk, mirelurk cakes, the Nuka Girl Rocketsuit (from the Nuka World DLC), and even just not spending too long underwater because there aren't many times you really need to do so.
