1. Make sure you waited 48 hours since the completion of Well Well Well.
2. Hub of the Problem should start via a radio message.
If it does not start then I would go back to a save prior to completing Well Well Well. Then go somewhere quiet like Sanctuary Root Cellar and let the game run for about 15 minutes to clear out any possible script issues being backed up. Sometimes the scripting just goes funky and glitches out.
Console commands to setstages did not work for me and it is highly advised to not use that commands in any of the quests because you can skip scripts.
Then either post a link to that thread here, or @ me in your post over there (same name), or both. It's much easier to share pictures and save files on the forums. I'll do what I can to get you going.
It also seems like I can't recruit settlers the old fashion way anymore. I might get an initial 3-4 when setting up a beacon but after that no new settles arrive. Only way I get new ones are the various settlers missions that allow you to recruit named settlers.
Also does anyone know if mods that expand settlers build area are compatible with Sim Settlements 2?
the amount of settlers you can have in one settlement is based upon your player chars charisma. the higher it is, the more settlers will come. the only way to "override" it is, as you found out already, to recruit these unique settlers with an individual name.
Settlements have more then enough beds under roofs. They have power, water, lots of food, lots of defense. The recruitment beacon is powered and active.
