"Please punish Timmy".
Me: shoots "Timmy" skeleton with gatling laser.

"Please punish Timmy."

Me: repeatedly punches Timmy's skull with power armor.

"Please punish Timmy."

Me: Looks up the damn thing. Oh. Shuts off radio...

"Fantastique. Please remember that corporal punishment is strictly forbidden."

Me: Oops.

Yeah. Wasteland discipline is really old school. Like, REALLY old.

So when you are told to punish a baby, your first thought is to shoot him? That is a punishment for a baby? :steamfacepalm:

Spare the rod and spoil the child.

Of COURSE not. Obviously Timmy is a TODDLER, which makes it perfectly okay!

Actually my first thought was that this was a computer program and was probably just set to trigger the next quest stage when any damage landed on the 200-year-old skeleton. Turns out, it's come a long way since video game programming was so limited that shooting the kid was an acceptable solution to a puzzle.

If we're using the rod to keep him from playing in the pile of uranium barrels, then yes. And you forgot extra limbs and hair loss.

I just realized the rod could be...a nuclear control rod.

Whoa.

Whoa.

I guess? I think the rod would break before you used it very much. Those are made to absorb neutrons, not whack people.

Yes it does. Unless you've got a mod messing it up maybe?

It took me so long to figure out what this thread was referring to lol.

I didn't punish Timmy. I just moved on and punished the Robobrain.

I always get that done first. Then since the puzzles are easy (unless they glitch) I do them because why not, and also free fusion cores.

This is a Ms. Nanny test corporal punishment would lead to lawsuits.
