How do I fire critical shot on PS4?
I know someone has asked this before but I just can't find the answer anywhere. I'm on survival mode is there no crit shooting on survival mode?

In VATS, press the reload button (Square on ps4) while executing the shots.
Note: Critical meter needs to be full

You hit the spacebar.

There are no criticals outside of VATS. But headshots do seem to be like critcals even though the game does not say it.

Yes this is correct. If you look, it briefly shows you that you have this option, in between you executing the VATS attack (X) and it actually being carried out by the game. But if you are intending a VATS attack it's best to press X then Square. You can press square at any point during the execution of the VATS attacks, and the next one will become a critical. (Potentially more than one if you have Critical Banker).

If it makes a difference you can also queue up VATS attacks and time your press of the square button to e.g. make the last attack a critical (if they haven't died yet).

Thank you all!!! It's very helpful. Now if I only knew were all the Antibiotics are. ...something bit me and gave me parasites that are draining all my HP!!! Found that it takes level 1 Chemist to make an Antibiotic!!!

Find a doctor. Your best bet for lower levels would be in Covenant . Or build a clinic at one of your settlements - if you have the required perks yet.

Yep, nice idea that Covenant place, but getting there is hard at the beginning and on the Survival Level I'm very far from reaching out to them. I did find two Antibiotics in a wall cabinet in Sanctuary.

It's worth clearing the route to Covenant on early level Survival, because it is by far the closest doctor. A very easy way to deal with rads, disease and addiction.

If you settle Starlight Drive-In as a staging post, that's about halfway.

You can do it in one go by bypassing everything risky. SPOILERS:

Bypass Concord to its west and south (a 270 degree loop before you head southeast cross country)

Head south toward Starlight keeping east of the crossroads by Drumlin Diner.

Bypass Drumlin Diner if you want.

Pass Starlight Drive-In on the south side ridge if you don't want to settle it (that requires a fight)

Don't go under the rail bridge (an encounter point), pass west of the bridge as you head south, then down hill.

Head east from the military checkpoint but skirt the mole rat dump by staying south of the road.

Follow the lake round to Covenant (but not right by the water).

Yes, thanks for the directions and for black-ops style blackout. I got the directions from the map online at Prima Guides. I made it to the Starlight Diner, then turned back. I did settle the dispute at Trudy's place because it's better to have two vendors to deal with then only one. The Raider Drug dealer is really a smooth talker and might fool people into thinking he's a good guy. I'm wearing my drifter outfit I got off the dead guy in the road near Sanctuary Hills.

Besides, I now know the location of 3 Antibiotics and one of them is at the Red Rocket. One is at the vault 111 area, I think in a box, or a cabinet first aid kit.

I'm getting hungry 'bout now and infected level is messing with my hp. I'm about to raid the Starlight for some food!!

Follow the lake round to Covenant (but not right by the water).

North east of Lexington, near Mystic Pines, there's access to the elevated highways, follow them south to about the Corvega Factory/Lexington Apartments, then east (you will have to navigate between upper and lower freeway levels along the way). Directly south of Covenant, there is an elevator/lift (from the lower highway). This is by far the quickest and safest route to Covenant. There are even sheltered beds on the freeway itself.

You can reach the freeway access by following the roads east from the Red Rocket station to skirt around the east side of Concord, then east from Concord to the junction south of Thicket Excavations, then follow the road south to the east side of Starlight Drive-in, then skirt the south side of Bedford Station. Do not access the freeways near Bedford since that section A: does not connect, and B: has a Gunner encampment. Find the bit of freeway south of that that has collapsed and is reachable from the ground.

If you're careful, you will have NO encounters to worry about other than a few wild brahmin (you might encounter something at the campsite/encounter site southeast of Concord if you travel too close to it. Use stealth and travel on the north/east bank of the road rather than the road itself to avoid this spot.

(Alternately, you can access the freeway on the east side of the Corvega Factory itself. (just follow the road south from Concord past Drumlin Drive-in then south to the Wicked Shipping truck. Then overland southeast toward the Corvega Factory. This route has the potential to aggro the raiders at Corvega factory, but there's a sheltered bed (and cooking station and a few supplies) immediately once you're on the freeway. I recommend the other route unless you've already done something about the Corvega Factory.)

Watch out for the bloodbugs west of the elevator at Covenant. They may aggro on you while you're on the freeway (keep to the south side of the freeway and use stealth) You should be able to avoid them by travelling directly north to Covenant from the elevator.

yes, helpful info. and detailed directions. I will work my way to Covenant soon, but I'll clear a path with my destruction. It may take days and weeks and I will die and die and die until I kill them all in my way. I'm following the yellow brick road. I'm so hungry and sick my health is down to a half bar, I can barely see and there is no relief in sight. It's a long way back to the Red Rocket from here. Good thing I'm supposed to help some folks on that farm kill the raiders at the Corvega plant place. It's on the way to the doctor.
