Can't NOT kill Harvey
I'm in the Nuka World transit center and, tbh, I might kill him AFTER I talk to him. But, I plan on talking first.

Thing is, he drops dead the instant I step up next to him, so I don't get to go through any of the dialogue. I've even tried leaving my power armor outside. What gives?

Unless his health is low and somthing bounces into him or there is some area of effect damage being done just getting close to him you should be able to talk to him. might look at the status effects in the pipboy and see if you have some effect that damages nearby npcs

I remembered that this wasn't the first time I went through this and set him to essential with the console. No idea what could've caused it.
