Junk Jet
So is this gun anything more than just for fun? It seems like you could get its damage up to 114 with Heavy Gunner Level 5, and use pre-war money for flaming weightless ammo that can be picked back up and reused, but that's about it. Is it really useful for anything?

I can't even find it.
I like the weightless infinite ammo idea.

I imagined a mod where on each run, different objects would have different damage properties and effects (wounding etc) you could discover by trial and error. But AFAIK the mod still exists only in my imagination.

Blasting a raider's head with a teddy bear justifies this weapon on its own

Heavy weapons are all about fun over function, the junk jet is just more pronounced than most.
The only practical thing about it is being easy to keep fed and being available very early, you don't get many heavies offering both.

You have to follow Danse to a location and you will find it.

To correct myself, you don't have to follow Danse. You should be able to go to the location without him and still get to the room the Junk Jet is in.

No. That area of the dungeon is closed off untill you get there with Danse under the Call to arms quest. You can go there before starting the quest Call to Arms, and get access to some rooms that are later destroyed, you can kill some of the Robot guardians that are otherwise destroyed later by the synths, and you can kill some roof turrets in the hallways, but that is it. The deeper levels are off limits.

And the Junk Jet is at the very bottom level.

Now that I think about it, I think you are right. There is a door that will not open without Danse present. Sorry about that.
